Another week is over and time to decide who to award the prize for best writer.
Except I have having to choose who did the best job because it is an awful thing to say someone is better than another.
I'd give a shout out to
because she added a more personal touch to things than the rest.
For providing a few examples of ways he's trying to stretch his money to make things work.
Highlighted the plight of the average Nigerian with a focus on how food has become a luxury with the Naira value in freefall.
Gave examples of prices of necessities and how when you don't have enough you have to choose between hygiene and food. What is the most necessary of the necessities.
I enjoyed all the posts but I'm going to give this weeks #1 spot to @lightpen. Well written and informative...even if it was a little depressing to see how bleak things are. Bonus marks on his mentioning people just eating carbs without protein (I'm huge on finding cheap protein sources).
Thank you to all who participated. I'll be making a few changes on how I give out weekly prizes but more on that when I post the next contest in two days time.
In the end I gave top spot to @lightpen (3 HBD) and second spot to @leemah1 (2 HBD) mostly because they described the plight of the average Nigerian the best.
As always @jjmusa2004 and @rare-gem gave awesome posts and I'm so grateful for their support. Both of them were awarded 1 HBD.
Thank you so much,I'm elated.
Thank you so much, I'm honoured and grateful.
Congratulations to us all

Thank youo @tergan, I really appreciate. Hope you are better now
Yes. All better.
Well...getting old means there is always something sore...but that's just normal :)
Old age....., I can relate. My mom too will always complain of one thing or the other and we know it is normal. But always remember your health before anything else.
Almost true.
...Put God first
..... then everything else falls in place.
and my body is supposed to be treated as a temple to God so I think looking after it comes a close second ;)
I agree with you, God first. Thanks for the reminder.
