Only two days late this time!
So, now is the time that I do the May update for the coin.
The Basics
A few things have happened over the last month.
First:
Even more HBD was added to the @hiveabbyftp account. There are now 6100 HBD and a couple thousand HP invested. Of course where to spend that HBD interest to grow the #earnspendgive community is the question now. Ideas anyone?
Second
@merchantsguild still backs the GLD token with staked HP. LEO token that it earned from delegation was used to buy back GLD token and increase its value.
In short over 1000 GLD token was purchased from the pool to help boost its value.
Third
@terganmarket didn't get any coin to purchase any new product to review this month. There was a little change in plans. Originally $20HBD was going to go towards purchasing a cheap rice cooker for evaluation. In the end $60HBD went to three members to buy rice for their community (still waiting on a post on how that went). The remaining $40 HBD accidently got locked into a BTC:Swap Hive liquidity pool.
Oops my mistake but BTC investment in liquidity pool isn't a problem.
Coin Activity
Last month I wrote:
With the new appreciator accounts (@merchantsguild and @terganmarket) hopefully there will a slow upward trend in the GLD value. Time will tell.
Well, it seems there was a purchase or two of the coin from external sources (@god02) and a purchase from the appreciator account so the value of the coin rose more than expected.
9% increase in a month? That was sort of surprising. Perhaps next month the appreciator accounts should be used to increase the GLD pool depth. Or I could keep the pool shallow and increase its value a little more? Thoughts?
Hive-Engine
When I checked the Hive Engine I was surprised that there were no coins available for sale. More coins have been put up for sale from the @merchantsguild account at a price of 0.011 Hive. Also a larger buy order has been placed at 0.01 Hive for anyone wanting to liquidate. Although the liquidity pool is still a better place to sell.
Tribaldex
Currently 100GLD can be sold for 1.098 Hive which is a big jump in only one month. Boost its value or solidify its base? Tough call.

Coming up next month
Now that there is income coming into the main @hiveabbyftp account here's the plan going forward (all going well).
- Income of 1% will be paid out to active #earnspendgive members on their GLD balance to be paid in Hive at a rate of 0.0001/GLD
Example: @monica-ene has 2550 GLD coin. 2550*0.0001 ==> 0.255 Hive
Earn : $20HBD of earnings will be used to grow the @hiveabbyftp HBD account to earn more income. didn't happen last month. Oops
Spend : $20HBD of the earnings will be given to @terganmarket in order to purchase an item for review. didn't happen last month either. Oops
Spend : $20HBD of the earnings will be given to @tergan in order to purchase ingredients for food recipe's to review. Given to members to purchase food
Give : $20HBD of the earnings will be given to a community member who wants to participate in a "mission". Preference will be given to the member who (a) has the highest GLD token count and (b) hasn't had a mission recently.
Okay, this changed last month. $60HBD was given to a team of @monica-ene @rare-gem and @jjmusa2004 to purchase rice for themselves and those they chose to give away to. Unfortunately due to health reasons their post about the endeavor has been delayed
- Repayment : $20HBD of the earnings will be transferred back to myself in LTC to replace the money taken to invest into HIVE. Rather than transfer back to myself I decided to leave in a liquidity pool Hive:BTC .. and $20 BTC means I needed $20 Hive so this took up $40 of the budget
Call for interest?
Now this months $20HBD donation went out to @dlmmqb who is starting a crowdfund project. Since this is an earn community I thought I would give his project a little bit of seed capital. Spend wisely my friend!
In addition I'm putting out a request to @supernova004 @lightpen and @jmis101 to see if you have interest in receiving $20HBD? The idea is to give to a member who buys something to benefit themself AND someone else.
In return I'd ask that if you get the HBD please make a post outlining :
(a) What did you purchase?
(b) How was the quality of the item purchased and
(c) Keep portion for yourself and give a portion to someone else.
mostly I was thinking of foodstuffs but be creative and use imagination
I donated to @rare-gem, @jjmusa2004, or @monica-ene last month so they are off the list until I get their group report :)
And that's it for the update.
Until next time I get around to it :)
And as always...if you have any thoughts Positive or Negative, please let me know so I can try to make the coin and community better.
Thanks for always remembering me sir. I feel loved and honored.
Of course I remember. The community may be very quiet but I'm still plugging away at it to keep it going. Someday I'll hire someone who can give it the love and care it deserves. Hopefully with the enthusiasm it deserves...but until then I'll keep the lights on for anyone who cares to post :)
Report coming soon
Monica let me know. Not worried about it at all. I am just curious if it went well, or had issues, or....well, I don't know what happened 😂 So I just have to wait patiently 😉
Ok boss
