La imagen de esta semana sin duda me transportó a la Escuela Básica Domingo José Guzmán Bastardo, ubicado en la calle Amparan de mi pueblo natal Aragua de Barcelona, estado Anzoátegui.
Dónde estudié desde primer grado hasta séptimo año, ese año que salía de sexto grado se implementó la básica que llegaba hasta tercer grado en algunas escuelas y en el pueblo fue escogida, nuestra escuela Guzmán Bastardo.
Mi escuela era bellísima, muy grande, con muchos salones, tenía un auditorio enorme donde se presentaban los actos culturales, tenía grandes pasillos con umbrales llenos de flores y muchas cartelera decorativas, por dónde quiera podíamos leer un pensamiento del Libertador Simón Bolivar, a la hora del recreo, se disfrutaba mucho, remembranza de tantas aventuras vividas en esos espaciosos pasillos..
Hasta sexto grado teníamos salón propio ya en séptimo año teníamos que formar en el pasillo para ir al salón que correspondía cada asignatura, recuerdo que cuando se inició la escuela Básica como tal en séptimo grado no nos daban ingles, pero si unas materias nuevas como : Ciencias naturales y educación para la salud, Educación Estética ( música y artes plásticas), Educación para el trabajo y PASIN que en sus siglas significan Pensamiento Acción Social e Identidad Nacional, constaba de tres asignaturas curriculares: Historia, Geografía y Folklore, porsupuesto nos daban lengua( castellano y literatura) y matemáticas que no era la misma matemática que normalmente correspondía a primer año, esa nueva reforma currículum permitía hacer acto de grado en noveno grado, yo no continúe fuí cambiada a un liceo normal pero si fuí a la graduación de mis compañeros y amigos con los que estudié toda mi primaria .

My school was beautiful, very large, with many classrooms, it had a huge auditorium where cultural events were presented, it had large hallways with thresholds full of flowers and many decorative billboards, wherever we could read a thought by the Liberator Simón Bolivar, to the Recess time was very enjoyable, remembrance of so many adventures lived in those spacious hallways...
Until the sixth grade we had our own classroom, and in the seventh grade we had to line up in the hallway to go to the room that corresponded to each subject. I remember that when Basic School began as such in the seventh grade, they didn't give us English, but they did give us new subjects like: Natural sciences and health education, Aesthetic Education (music and plastic arts), Education for work and PASIN, which in its acronym means Thought, Social Action and National Identity, consisted of three curricular subjects: History, Geography and Folklore, of course they gave us language (Spanish and literature) and mathematics, which was not the same mathematics that normally corresponded to the first year, this new curriculum reform allowed me to do the degree act in ninth grade, I did not continue, I was changed to a normal high school but I did go to the graduation of my classmates and friends with whom I studied throughout primary school.

Cuando empecé a estudiar el uniforme era un Jumper azul con las iniciales de la escuela (G.B) bordadas en blanco y camisa blanca, luego el uniforme cambió a un pantalón caqui que era como marrón claro y camisa blanca, ya en sexto grado pusieron el uniforme parejo para todas las instituciones educativas el cual era falda plisado y camisa o chemise blanco.
Tuve muy buenos maestros y profesores, la de Lengua era mí favorita la Profesora Irina de Castillo, una dulce y amable mujer que sin duda con su afecto y compresión marcó mi vida, la recordaré en toda mi existencia a ella debo mi pasión por la lectura.
Una imagen que me llevó a recordar y revivir siete años de estudios, parte de mi niñez e inicio de adolescencia.

When I started studying the uniform was a blue jumper with the school's initials (G.B) embroidered in white and a white shirt, then the uniform changed to khaki pants that were like light brown and a white shirt, already in sixth grade they put the uniform uniform for all educational institutions which was a pleated skirt and white shirt or chemise.
I had very good teachers and professors, my favorite was Professor Irina de Castillo, a sweet and kind woman who undoubtedly marked my life with her affection and understanding. I will remember her throughout my entire existence. I owe my passion for reading to her. .
