I think for the next probably six months to a year you won't see a lot of major changes. We'll get the odd cross-over promotion here and there, maybe Chad Gable goes and fights in UFC or somebody comes and does an angle here or there in WWE, but it's not like they're gonna merge together in the battle to end Kayfabe forever.
There will be cuts, for sure. That's a given in any corporate merger.
I wouldn't call this a monopoly if I'm being honest. AEW is run by a billionaire('s kid) and they have plenty of bargaining power. And the independent scene from Impact and MLW down through GCW and Revolver are thriving, international groups like AAA and NJPW are thriving, and women's wrestling is thriving worldwide...
We're in a golden age of wrestling here, and WWE will likely always be the far-and-away leader of the industry, but there are a whole lot of gaps to fill around that and a whole lot of rasslin' out there to fill it!
They will become the elephant in the room though. If they weren't already so. I guess that makes them a Giant Elephant now! 😜
I feel like they've been that for a while. I'm okay with it if I'm being honest.
Get eyes on PRO WRESTLING then let people discern for themselves which niches they want to seek out and watch.
Anything for eyes on the product and asses in seats!
