Dreadful weather: The Rain Caused It But The Rain Fixed It

We all have a part or kind of weather that we dislike, either because it slows down traffic or makes you late to an appointment, or maybe even makes your face makeup wear off. But whatever it is, it's not that bad. Just come along with me through my dreadful weather experience.

My dreadful weather here in Nigeria has always been rainfall. Here in Nigeria, the main types of weather we experience are heavy rainfall and massive sunshine. Now, I dread rainfall because of the ruins it causes. For example, it makes children sick and cold, and can even go through the roofs of people's ceilings. Even though massive sunshine gives headaches, it's more bearable.

What made me have a change of mind was just last week. I was taking my children to their new apartment, and we carried their bed since it couldn't fit into the car. We placed it on the car top, and with our stuff packed, we went on our way. But 20 minutes into the journey, it began to rain. No kidding, the rain was very nice and heavy! When I called the house to tell them to take the clothes outside in, they said, "No need, cause it isn't raining here." Imagine if it was to be you! My anger for rainfall increased. Where would my children sleep if their bed was wet?

On getting to the destination, the bed was soaked, and the previous tenant hadn't tidied the environment, so it was up to us to do so. We went to check all the pipes in the apartment for water, but there was none. We asked the neighbors, and they said the rain had caused the electricity outage. I felt even more anger towards the weather.

However, an idea struck me. We took out all our empty rubber containers and placed them under the rain to collect water. After all, the weather isn't so bad after all. Every type of weather has its benefits, since they all come from the same sky.

And as for the bed, we kinda place our clothes over them to sleep just for the night Which was put to laundry the following day. 😞
