Shock Trooper | The Warrior In Disguise

Seems like I'm liking this new change in the weekly battle writeup and it isn't battle mage all the time, this week, we get to talk about the community engagement challenge and we get to review any rebellion cards of our choice, since they release a lot of rebellion cards recently especially the soulbound set, I will say I'm not that use to this set of cards yet because I'm still trying to gather as many as I can and even level them up so they can be powerful in their stats and abilities, out of the cards I'm gathered so far, the one I really like and I do use the most is the Shock trooper which is a 4 mana based card and to me, when it come to strength, this particular card is a beast and as a magic card, that made it even a badass and I will stay using it in a low mana capped battle

Even though I see this particular card as a badass, it seems most people see it the other way round because of a particular ability which is the electrified ability which deal 1 damage to all allied cards at the beginning of round 2 till the end of the battle except this card get destroyed, I think this ability chased people away, there is one thing when it come to battle, it is always the survival of the fittest kind of stuff and our main aim is to make sure none of our cards health get damage while damaging the enemy cards, but on the bright side of it, this card always hit hard just as a level one card, at level 3, it take on the swift ability which give all card +1 speed and even make them attack first and also have upper hand, I remember back then when we do have the speed battle using ruler of the seas and spirit miner combo, it was really a deadly combo then and now we can do it again with water element using shock trooper and daarg deadblast combo. Maxing it give it the magic reflect ability and make it a nightmare to other enemy magic cards.

Apart from the electrified, I really don't see any weakness in this particular card. When it come to strategizing with Shock tropper, there are various way to actually use this card and make it deadly, when every there is an enrage ruleset, you can easily pair this card with other melee cards, making a damage to enrage card health can make them a beast and deadly since it increase their speed and attacks by 50%, so imagine pairing it with melee cards with sneak and opportunity ability that have piercing in them, I'm yet to try it out but will will be a berserk kind of stuff. Another aspect is using it in a low mana battle, those battle you have to use 4 mana and less card, you can easily give this card a slot and wait for it to perform magic especially with the 4 magic strength and 5 if maxed

The last way to use trooper is in the Back to basics strategy which take away all abilities and make it even but stats battle, this way if you are using trooper, you will forget about the electrified ability which will deal damage at the end of the round. I had this battle with Btem and we had 18 mana capped which make it really low for us and also we have Explosive weaponry ruleset present also which bring in blast and extra damage effect, I had to pick water element because I need that magic strength damage, I had to pick Halfing refugee which is 1 mana, Torrent fiend which is 0 mana and my two high strength magic cards Nerrissa Tridawn with 5 magic attack and Shock tropper with 4 magic attack, with the blast effect, the extra damage will also be huge.

Submitted and saw what my opponent brought on board, he tried with the magic cards but he make sure he brought in cards to fill the board but with low attacking strength, my magic cards were doing +2/+3 blast side damage and that was really huge and also gave me upper hand in the battle and it really end in round 2. When it come to back to basics, using high strength attacking cards is a good decision and Trooper is one of the perfect card to bring on board.
