I've never watched an anime movie before. That's why I was more curious on it. First anime fascinated me. Now I am almost a fan of anime movies. There was a time when I thought these movies were just for kids. But I was completely wrong. This one is recommendable for all ages.
There was something going on in me when i watching spirited away. When I started watching, I just wondered what the next scene would be, I was so excited. The story of a little girl where she gave proof of courage. And and herself got out from a mysterious place and got her family out of there as well.
Ten-year-old Chihiro accidentally arrives in a new place with her parents while moving to a new town. But chihiro were left her old friends behind. That's why she was upset. They lost their way and went to an old park in the forest. Chihiro's parents are curious to see the place. And they start to get inside it. But Chihiro doesn't want to go there either. She is a little scared. Due to which she repeatedly forbade her parents and wants to get out of here. But her parents do not listen to Chiro and enter the place.
They go there and see a very old park. Of course the place is impossibly beautiful which makes their curiosity even greater. Chihiro and her parents go there and see a little beautiful town. And to see more there are many restaurants out there. And there was a lot of delicious foods. Chihiro kept telling her parents to leave. Chihiro's parents didn't see anyone there, despite many shouts. There are very few people there, to say the least. Eventually her parents saw the delicious food and started eating it. And Chihiro is also told by her parents that the food is very tasty and you should start eating it too.
But Chihiro doesn't pay attention to it and goes out to visit the town. Chihiro sees that there are no people in the town. Meanwhile, Chihiro met mysterious Haku. Haku tells Chihiro to leave this place before evening. Haku pushes Chihiro and she runs to her parents in fear. Chihro went to her parents and saw that her parents had turned into giant pigs. She is more afraid and wants to escape from there. But that's the way she came here, she saw that road was under water and that a large ship was coming. She got more scared and sat down quietly somewhere. And Haku came and helped her.
Chihiro later learns that this is the town of spirits. Here at night the spirit come here to eat. And there is a magician witch named Yubaba. Haku tells Chihiro that you need a job to survive here. Chihro got a job there. And she keeps looking for ways to get her parents back.
I just wanted to say that i was fascinated by the movie, seeing its visuals, story, ending, everything was impressive. The struggle of the girl to save herself, her well-wishers and the endangered parents from the hands of the enemy is quite impressive. Everything has a soul and should be respected, starting with the spiritual message "The spirit of the river is shown in the movie", the impact of capitalism on Japanese tradition, the social greed of people in modern society, the suicidal decision to build a factory by filling the river. The emphasis on children's intuition has changed attitudes toward these movies.
Hayao Miyazaki is a great story teller. I advise you to watch Mononoke if you have never seen it, very much in the same style, maybe a bit more violent though. Howl's Moving Castle is so touching and talk about very important subject like how we deal we becoming on older person.
In another genre, if you like non serious Anime that actually parodies Anime, you have to try One Punch Man, but it's a bit for boys, though I wouldn't "judge a book by its cover".
Porco Rosso is probably my favorite Studio Ghibli movie I have seen thus far. I second the recommendation of One Punch Man, too. It's basically a superhero parody, although not as silly as The Tick from the 90's American cartoons.
Now I have to check "The Tick"
Well, if you like surrealist parodies, you're in for a treat. There was a 90s FOX animated series with three seasons, a FOX live-action series that got cancelled in the early 2000s after a partial season, and a recent Amazon live-action series. It's all based on an indie comic from the 80s if memory serves. Like the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, each iteration is distinct and different.
Thanks mate how is the live action movie? Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is such a gem, truly one of a kind movie
Thank you so much for your recommendation. I will watch your recommended movies from time to time soon.
Actually I've never seen an anime movie before, this is the first. Spirited Away fascinated me, And broke all of my wrong perception about it. Probably now I am a very big fan of Japanese Anime.
And yes, I have to say Hayao Miyazaki is a great director.
Kudo to you, it's great to try something new once in a while!
Watch "Ghost in the Shell" by Mamoru Oshii. I'm not an anime fan either, but I consider this one the best animated film ever created.
Ghost in the shell is the bomb! Akira also is great :)
Agreed, Akira is a cult classic and one of the most influential cyberpunk movies . And Jin-Roh: The Wolf Brigade is good too. This is probably like 50% of anime movies I have ever seen, which is quite embarassing since I am very interested in film studies, but I still recommend them to everyone that aren't into Japanese culture. :)
Neither do I. This is the first anime I have watch. I'll watch this one. Thanks fot recommend.
I've heard about the Ghost in the Shell before but haven't seen it. I included it in my watch list. Thank you.
I consider this film to be the best animated film of all time.
I was absolutely captivated with the story Spirited away
if I don't get wrong, this was the most seen anime movie worldwide, but another very good movie is "Your name" this was the first movie that gets out of the throne Chihiro. 100% recommended, literally everyone who sees it, likes it.
A good friend suggested me to see Your Name. But I didn't care at that time because it was animation. As I said before, this is my first animated movie. I'm going to watch it.
This movie is a classic, one of my favorites I remember watching it when it came out still as a kid. Nice article!
