# A Tale Of A 1000 HIVE: [Giving to people and give to myself]

Contests have been going on from time to time on the Hive blockchain and are always interesting. I would say that the contest aspect is one part I love it encourages the people to share their views about different topics on several aspects of life.
This contest is a very cool one, and this is my point of view.

I am a Nigerian and also a student. So getting 1000 hive would be a real big income for me. If I am to convert 1000 hive is like 300 dollars and would be worth up to #120,000 or more in naira.

I am a Christian so the first thing that I am expected to do is to pay my tithe that is 10% of the money about 100 Hive. So God can bless me more. I also believe in giving. I would give up to 200 Hives to charity because there are people out there that have little or no income to even feed, especially in this pandemic period. So it would be a pleasure that I am privileged to be a source of help to those kinds of people.

Having worked for that kind of money, there is a saying in Nigeria that goes like this “person-wey hustle supposed to chop”, meaning that I have to enjoy the fruit of my hustle.

I would convert up to 200 Hives and give myself a pleasant treat. I would go shopping, buy food and other necessary items that I need. Going out to catch fun wouldn’t be the wisest thing to do now because of the covid19. But I would make sure I get enough things that I need.

One of the needs that I would use my money on is for data. Over here in Nigeria internet usage is very expensive. I need to recharge my data to keep me going on the internet and the Hive.

My younger ones are celebrating their birthdays this month, so getting a pleasant surprise gift wouldn’t be a bad idea.

Spending all that money on personal pleasure is not a wise thing to do. I would use up to 500 hives to increase my hive power. To be able to vote more post and build up my hive account.

This is how I would spend, if I had the opportunity to have such an income. Money is valuable. It is known that money is vanity but having it at hand is not a bad one because I also believe that poverty is vanity. But if you have it, try to do something nice with it that would improve your life and change your status positively. Money is good, but using it wisely is the best.
