Man (humans) was created for dominion and not servitude. We have been created to be above and not under, a ruler and not a slave, dominion and not to be dominated. It has never been God's plan to be held bound. After Adam and Eve sinned, the things man was supposed to dominate started dominating man. The same Jesus that forgives is the same Jesus that heals.
Anchor your faith in God and not the preacher. A lot of people focus on the preacher forgetting that the preacher is only an instrument in God's hands to bring about healing. We have to trust God for healing and God can use His servants to do that. We can even pray for healing for ourselves and others while God can use us as a vessel. It's not an avenue for us to feel proud because we are only a vessel being used for the intended purpose of God.
A lot of people have dented their faith because of what the doctor told them. The doctor is only doing his or her job based on the diagnosis he or she sees but as faith-filled people, we need to realize that the physician doesn't have the final say. 2 Chronicles 16:12-13 told us about the story of King Asa. He only sought the help of his physician and not that of God and the Bible made us understand that he died of that sickness.
To be healed, you have to desire to be healed. The man at the pool of Bethsaida was asked if he wanted to be healed and he said he had no one to help him. Jesus helped his little faith after seeing his desire to get healing while looking up to people. We have to keep our focus on God and no one else. Focus on the Word and not the symptoms. Imagine using Google to check for symptoms, it only makes it worse and hard to increase your faith. Focus on Jesus instead... the author and the finisher of our faith.
Exercise your rights or authority over that sickness. You have been called to dominate. The reality of what you are facing will always be different from what you are trusting God for. Yes, the reports of the doctors are right but you can trust the report of God that says by the stripes of Jesus you have been healed.
Act in obedience. Faith is lifeless if it cannot be voiced and acted upon. A lot of people miss out on a lot of what God can offer to them because they don't act in obedience. The Bible is our guide and we have been told to dominate...we need to walk in the consciousness of that. Don't let the devil rob you of all God had already given you. We don't fight for victory because we are already victorious...we fight from victory. We need to be conscious of all that we have in Christ.
