"We build too many walls and not enough bridges."- Isaac Newton.
Source.
When men become insecure with themselves and the people around them, they build a wall to make them believe they are keeping intruders and their own fears away.
But how long are these walls supposed to be up before their purposes are met or intents fulfilled?
Building of walls is a good thing especially in period where the world is at a risk of becoming unsafe and impossible to peaceably live in.
Walls are good and provide security and everyone needs walls from others and from themselves. But then, man soon becomes a prisoner of his own walls as he mostly forgets to build bridges to enable him scale through when the demons become too much to handle.
The fortress a man builds can in turn become the place where he will be least safe because, he can become endangered because he chose to keep his fears and others who could save him.
Learn from the mistakes of others who have walls they cannot scale when push comes to shove and make sure to build bridges that will enable you scale the walls meant to allow you push the fear away.
Make your walls scalable and let there be bridges that will allow you scale over the walls when the inner confines of your "secured location" becomes insecure.
Nicely written. We truly focus on building walls while neglecting the importance of building bridges.
