Hello peeps
Howdy??
I'm so sorry I've been busy for some months now,I've not posted. But I'm back now with more interesting stories.
Stay tuned!!!

It was a thick night when Alice, a dogged Grandma roused her orphaned grandson, Oliver to accompany her to the stream, five kilometers away from home. Reputed for hardwork, with her cassava farmlands across many villages and without the benefit of a clock, she had mistakenly thought it was the crack of dawn. For her, time was either mourning, afternoon or night.

But the shooting of owls had barely fades away. Bats were still searching. Toads and frogs too were croaking at the background. Monitor lizards were hissing as well. What sounded like the snarling of monkeys was not too far away. Many noise-making insects were also active on duty, chirping away monotonously. But as usual chattering of women who wake up early for distant market and farms was curiously absent. Yet grandma was raring to go.

Last night, the old woman has gone to bed a bit earlier than usual. She had complained of body pains from endless farm works. Now she is back on her feet, actually the night was still going and it was midnight hours. Completely oblivious and insensitive to danger, Alice pulled off the long bamboo pole that secured her rickety plank door at night. Yet, she opened the door carefully, glanced right and stepped out to pick two native pots of water. The IG one for herself and the small one for her drowsy grandson. Hurriedly, they took off into the dark, gloomy night, in a quest for water, in a stream, three villages away.

Everywhere was dark and opaque, except for the noises by animals and insects, the rest was dead air. "The omen is not good" grandma told her eight year-old grandson repeatedly in whispers. Why? Even before the journey began, the old woman had hit her left toes against a grinding stone, carelessly left at the wrong place obviously by Oliver. But this journey must continue. She reached for her little snuff box by the tail end of her wrapper, sniffed a bit of the snuff to clear her eyes and sharpen her mind. Of course her mind was preoccupied with a long distant farm she had scheduled to weed that morning, in order to give her sprouting cassava crops a breath of fresh air.

Soon, the old woman realize she had woken up too early for her safety. The first trouble was the scary,cry-like and persistent sound of mysterious origin, which tended to dog their steps all the way. For her,it was a GHOST or COMPANY OF GHOSTS. But a brave woman of rare Calibre, the thought of aborting the journey was the last thing on her mind. All she did was walk faster, muttering words of prayers to rebuke and telling her grandson to walk faster. Finally, they got to the stream and fetched the water. Before they finished, the day was already coming up to a bright morning and they went back home successfully.
