I know where you are coming from, Amor. Believe me, I know the feeling. After all, walked similar streets myself didn't I?

That said, the sentiment in the editorial is perhaps western? Traditionally in the west kids leave home when they go to college at 18. Now, this is a broad generalization, and it is actually reversing in the west. Due to economic downturn, and lack of jobs, it is now quite common to see 30 year old kids staying with their family (with job, or without job). And I have seen the reverse sentiment growing in our respective homelands. So, bottomline the sentiment is complex, and you can argue from both sides.

I thought the point was jeta ke bangla e bole নিজের পায়ে দাঁড়ানো ... I think on that point you might agree with me, whether we stay with the family or stay on our own.
