Another Tragedy Is Written ! // ( The Story Of Bangladesh cricket )..

in BDCommunitylast year

Every players dream always remain to have a chance to show his talents to the worlds biggest stage. For a cricketer, world cup is such an opportunity where career turns into abundant path, opening doors to mountainous name, fame and richness. A player can at best try his best to perform, get good runs or take wickets for a bowler ; meaning to do everything that fosters good performance at the end of the day.

Sportsman play in the turfs, those athletes do represent a big nation, a basic identity by which they bring forth unique culture, diverse traditions and peoples love and supports. International cricket is such a supreme level where if XI player loses, that interprets as to losing to a big margin. But there are so many other things we dont think about all the time.

I have been thinking about this fact that, what if the teams selectors do become the mostly liable factor for the lose of a team to a big margin? If they chose an ineffective lineup where there were chances to choose the other smart options that could have saved the whole team from that situation. That has happened for a lot of times in the history - but todays case I think is bit different that hits hard, every time I think about it.

Bangladesh has had their worst world cup journey here in this edition hosted in India. Neither did ever teams played that bad, nor their performance was such below the margin of satisfaction. Losing an easy match against Netherland proves how down to the ground they are and what can be expected from them during this time. More than two decades of time have passed and so many infrastructural spending and attempts been made, but they seem to be in the same wheel of failure.

Why such failures occur again and again? Whats the inherent problem that the whole nation been unable to solve over the years of time? To find the answer we would need to go deeper into the internal affairs where due deserving is taken away, some of cricketing faulty bureaucratic systems that spoiled the structure and let nepotism and bribery channel the mismanagement to greater extent - to such level to make sure progress is collapsed.

Bad Team Selection.

This is the issue I have talked about, but we dont get to see how under performing players are getting chances to be in the squad and the well deserved mega star is pulled out, just to show that he is unfit and cant play if he is not physically 100%. Captaincy being handed over to such player who has bad record of shouldering the responsibility.Fresh players are getting chance, where experienced campaigner is neglected.

If the team combination isnt good then how a team can win despite having good luck in their favour? Even those officials who are appointed as team selectors arent even cricketers recognised that much, even they are, then they havent had round figures beside their acquisition table. That is the scenario and real case - spoiling the cricket of bengal from inside and we are just witnessing the chronic downfall of Bd cricket.

Sorry to say, Pappu - Nannu- Papon trio are liable for this condition of cricket, sooner or later curse has a way of biting back and Tamim's case have the repercussion what we are seeing now.
Shakib's not performing well drastically and he doesn’t have the answer whats happening with his all round magic. Thats the stick-blow for throwing stones.

Bribery Inside, Effect Outside.

We all might have seen how money is spent on the cricketing sector, the amount grossly gets upto 900 crore taka per year for BCB. But not a lot of people are concerned where the money is going and in which sector the amount is being spent on. If bribery is taken, then who is filling it inside the bag?
No investigation has ever been formed, we are happy to win in Mirpur only and losing series after series and world tours after tours in overseas.

Halwa Ruti is so sweet and lets feed the share holders. Some of the people are so hungry to even take extra plates from the extended stores preserved, where other sectors are lagging behind.
We want a remedy and never do we see Shakib -Tamim play at the world stage again, 4 years a big time and until then one of them would retire.

But, hope should go there that the new days cricket becomes free from such muds and a bright day comes out of darkness. May we see that soon.

I think in general Bangladesh are a weak team and will be found out by weaker teams or perecieved weaker teams. Netherlands are not terrible and you still have to perform or you will pay the price and lose. Netherlands are lucky as they can raise their game and other teams playing them need to keep their standards high. I think you need new bllood in the Bangladesh team and to get rid of Shakib and start rebuilding from scratch.

I dont think Bangladesh is that weak in terms of cricketing knowledge or recent performance. They were 3rd in the ODI ranking when pre matches were going on before the world cup. They surely have the capacity to defeat stronger team,in the past it has been looked.

Back in 2015 world cup, they beat England and got into Semi's and in 2019s edition they beat South Africa chasing 333 runs, the highest chase they ever made.

The bilateral series they played all round the year, the statistics show that - mostly all of them were competitive. The Bangladesh team improved since 2015, but certainly lost rhythm.

I have talked about it why they lost rhythm, there are some of the issues thats going on. One thing I agree with you, that -

Bangladesh team and to get rid of Shakib and start rebuilding from scratch.

It is a timely adjustment they should make, otherwise things would worsen.
