The misconceptions.

If you are given a choice to make based on your beauty products would you go for creams or soaps that can expose you to disease such as cancer, liver damage,kidney damage or any form of poisoning?

No doubt ,nobody would ever want such but it is unfortunate that in the modern conscious appearance society in which we live portrays fair or bright complexion as beauty ,hence we are much conscious to change the colour of our skins.

This misconception of beauty has lead to the unguided production of all skin care lightening products which has expanded the market.

Most people use this lightening products without knowing the risk factors while few knows the risk but still go ahead using them.

Manufacturer may not be versed with the side effect or labelling maybe misleading or they may be economical with the truth having only but one aim of making money without caring about the masses that uses this products.

Celebrities has resorted to changing the colour of their skins, models too go to the extent of using all kind of beauty product to enhance Their outlook. These products may lead to horrific effects.

Every individual has his or her own colour of the skin.
There are basically three reasons for the colour of our skin.
They are:
Melanin produced by the melanocytes scattered within the basal layer of the skin
Superficial blood vessel provides a blue or red tint depending on the oxygen content.
The cells contained within the dermis and epidermis.

The melanin produced by the melanocytes is responsible for the colour of our skin.
When there is a high level of melanin production,it leads to a more darker skin.

What are the important of melanin.

The melanin in the skin plays a protective role. It protects the skin from damage from the ultraviolet rays of the sun.
When the melanin that protects the skin is bleached out,there will be a higher risk of developing skin cancer.
