Actual writting explained.

Welcome back to Amzzy's lecture.

Stages of writting.
Haven gone through the first stage of writing which is pre-writting also know as the preparatory or planning stage ,the next stage involved in effective writing is

The actual writting stage also known as the drafting stage.
This is the point at which the whole ideas gathered in the Pre-writting stage is drafted or put down.

This requires that you must have a good knowledge of of your diction ;I mean your choice of word whether it should be paradoxical or ironic,plan or figurative or whether it should contain any figure of speech

To have an outstanding write up, below are the steps you need to follow

Writting the introduction.
If you aim at achieving effectiveness in writing ,you must have a good knowledge of several forms of introduction.
The introduction must be in conformity with the subject to be discussed.

Introduction is the smallest but the most important part in writing.it serves as a signpost to the writer and also gives the reader an idea of what is to be discussed in the later paragraphs.
The way you begin your writing determines if it will draw the attention of your reader.
A good introduction will always sustain the interest of the reader while a bad or no introduction will discourage the reader even if your article contains the most important information.

An introduction can come inform of
Question approach
Statement approach
Definition approach
Quotation approach
Anecdotal approach.

Let's explain this approaches to introduction to understand my point.

Let's begin.

Question approach
In this form of introduction,the main idea of the essay are channelled in form of rhetorical question.
Rhetorical question are Questions which requires no answer or a question that is not directed to anyone in particular.
This form of introduction is usually employed when writing as expository essay.

Let's take for example : you are asked to write on Racism in Nigeria you can begin your introduction in this manner

"Nigeria the giant of Africa , Before now has never dwelled in peace amongst themselves despite the fact that they are of same country and should fight for a common goal but we dwell in backbiting and criticism that alot of Questions has risen in the mind of many
Why racism?
Why fight for racism outside your country when we are living with racist?
Does not really make sense"

From the above introduction,I have already given a clue to my reader of what should be expected.
And going through this will will force my reader to read father to know the points and the areas of racism I discussed.

Quotation approach.

In this form of introduction,a quote is used as a take off ground for the essay.

Example.
Provided you are asked to write about sucess you can begin thus " in the words of late obafemi awolowo"the greatest glory is not in never failing,but it is rising each time you fail" this statement implies that failure is an inevitable part of man and that one does not succed at all times in all thing"

From the above introduction,I have already introduced the topic of discuss.
