Where are you going to!!. Where are you going to?? Bridget's mom shouted...
Bridget: Mum!!. I have told you several times to stop shouting my name!!. (Hitting her leg on the floor). Am I not old enough to move freely on my own??. Is it because I am still living at home with you??. Mum!! I am a graduate so please mum just give me some freedom. Okay??. (She walks out of the walkway leading to the gate and opened the gate then jammed it).
Bridget's mum: Oh my God!!. (She rubs hands over her face and then walked back in).
Bridget has been the last born of the family, she had two brothers and two sisters making a family of seven. Their dad had been late for the past 20 years, some days after Bridget's 2nd year birthday. Her mum had been catering for her needs and likewise her elder brothers, but this just went on for some years.
Elizabeth was her firstborn who got married to a doctor, she was also an engineer and also engaged in some petty business, she had been the breadwinner of the family and have been sponsoring her siblings as a form of assistance to her mum. Life had been so hard for them but who knows what the future holds
Bridget had been a girl who had been so social and lived a luxurious life. Her mum had always been sitting her down to give her some words of advice.
Bridget mum: Take a look at your brothers, take a look at your elder sisters. They have been so responsible and calm. But why??. Why are you always this way??. You came from a good and well-trained background. Take a look at Samuel, he is out there seeking a job after his graduation, he never misbehaved, Emmanuel has been a responsible man, who would see Emmanuel and call him your brother, Bridget!!. Bridget!!. You are just totally different...
Bridget would never listen to her and always continue with her guitar and her praise songs. She might seem naughty, but she loves to sing songs of praise. She never believed in all those words of comparison her mom does make, she just believed in her dreams and loved her passion for music.
One day she was on her way out when she came across her classmate she had been missing for some years now.
Bridget: Oooh!!. Esther!! Esther!!!. Is this you??. (she rubs her hand on her cheek after giving her a warm hug)? I can't believe it's you!!
Esther: It's me, How have you been??. I lost your contact, but I have a surprise for you!!. Since you love music, I knew how well you sang for us back then at school.
Bridget: Wow!!!. What that!! What's that!!.(Don't put me in suspense), please tell me ( she jumps lightly and gives her friend a bright smile.)
(Her friend dipped her hand into her bag and brought out a ticket to a live concert)
Esther: Make sure to be there Bridget! (She smiled). But she noticed the look on Bridget's face wasn’t okay, she looks sad and depressed. Bridget!! Bridget!!! ( Esther called her several times before she could hear).
Bridget: Eehn!! Ehn!! I am listening to you, my friend.
Esther: What wrong with you? You look so sad when I gave you the ticket. Why??
(Bridget thanked her and give her a warm hug 🤗, telling her she would try to make herself available for the concert. Bridget was lost in thought and couldn’t fathom how to go about this lifetime opportunity she had to display the talent in her. She nods her head and kept on thinking while she found her way home).
**Bridget’s Mum: Where have you been!? She exclaimed! I told you to get all the house chores done before my return but you never did any of them! What’s wrong with you? (She tried to grab her to beat her, but Bridget begged her mum so hard) this was unusual of her! (Her mum thought to herself, what could have gone through her).
Bridget went on to get the house chores done immediately.
