Hmmm, I love both, but I grew up with a white guava tree in my backyard in Jamaica... so I'm bias to the wine.

No, such a creative idea never crossed my mind. Now you make me wish we still had the tree:)))
Fruits are very good at the fermentation process, converting sugars into alcohols, perhaps there was someone who knew how to take advantage of it and make a good wine with it. Who knows, right?
I'll keep this idea in mind for when I'm able to grow my own:)
