A very sincere greeting to this beautiful community that always remains fresh and vital for faithful lovers of exotic and healthy drinks.
I wanted to tell you that for several days they had given me some small guavas, and I was very happy because they meant many beautiful things to me, first, because they came from some trees that my late father planted, and second, because it is the variety of guava that most I like it, the white one.
They are actually tiny compared to the pink or red variety. Their flavor is sweeter in stages, and they almost always keep the bush loaded with small fruits on their branches. I know that most people like to enjoy red guava , large and creamy with fewer seeds inside and also with an incredible aroma, but to me the small white guavas seem super sweet, soft, and a bite just like a chocolate that you can't get enough of.
I remember my father eating under the bush, and warning me that they were pure vitamin C, and that for us asthmatics in this time of winter they are a powerful immunological concentrate that will allow us to survive all the cold viruses that happen to visit us.
What I also didn't know was that white guava has a lot of potassium, more than red guava, and having it in my diet allows me to keep my blood pressure at bay, because it displaces the sodium that wanders through my arteries, and that persists at all costs in raising my heart rate and my blood pressure.
Wow, there are laws that will always be fulfilled in nature, and in chemistry, about the power of substitution of some chemical elements for others according to their molecular strength, they are there to never cease to surprise us.
Therefore, the consumption of natural fruits Rich in vitamins, minerals and carotenes, they are so important to keep our vital organs in good health.
Did you know that a guava has seven times more vitamin C than a citrus fruit?
Did you know that consuming guava ensures that you can better fix iron within your red blood cells?
So since I am crazy about drinks that contain milk and natural fruits, I couldn't miss the opportunity and prepare a delicious white guava smoothie, and believe me, it is a delicacy.
Ingredients.
- 15 or 20 small white Creole guavas.
- 5 tablespoons of powdered milk, or 3 glasses of liquid milk.
- 3 tablespoons of white or brown sugar.
- 1 pinch of salt to taste.
- 1 liter of very cold water, or ice as you prefer.
Preparation mode.
First of all, wash the fruits one by one, removing each of the front and back tips, and any damaged part that we don't like. Chop it into very small pieces so that the blender destroys all the parts well, as there will always be some harder or greener pieces, so it is better to reduce all contact surfaces so that it is better diluted.
Add the chopped fruit to the blender glass, add the milk, sugar, a pinch of salt, and a little of the liter of water, begin to blend, waiting for the fruit to dissolve, and gradually adding the rest of the water as you like the final texture of your drink, I particularly like it quite dense. I think it should look like a creamy but smooth ice cream.
Finally, you must strain it to eliminate all the hard seeds that would hinder the tasting of the Olympic elixir that you have just prepared...😂
Something terrible happened to me during the process, my electricity went out, and I began to innovate, remembering my grandmother when she prepared her delicious champagnes for me at a time when mixers or blenders did not yet exist...😆
I tried to take a grater to pour all the fruit by hand and then mix it with the other ingredients until finally straining it, ....but the bell saved me because the current returned quickly... if not...😂..I would have been left without nails and fingers...
And that's it for the recipe, I hope you like it, and that many like me can recognize that white guava is wonderful, phenomenal and super delicious...😋
Health, peace and prosperity for all in this last stage of the end of the year, and for the new one that is approaching.

Hmmm, I love both, but I grew up with a white guava tree in my backyard in Jamaica... so I'm bias to the wine.
I bet that drink is amazing:)))
So, do you make wine with white guava?
Mmm...that must be sensational and exquisite... You are very lucky to have grown up next to a white guava tree!
No, such a creative idea never crossed my mind. Now you make me wish we still had the tree:)))
Fruits are very good at the fermentation process, converting sugars into alcohols, perhaps there was someone who knew how to take advantage of it and make a good wine with it. Who knows, right?
I'll keep this idea in mind for when I'm able to grow my own:)

Thank you very much, it is an honor to be mentioned in my publication. 🙏🏼
In my city there are lots of white guavas like this and one of the processing methods is to make smoothies @adaluna1973
They must be specialized in this drink, surely there are many ways to make it, and depending on tastes...maybe they add cinnamon, vanilla, nuts...or mix it with other fruits! It could be sensational, right?
I really like the Olympic Elixir hahaha.... What a nice post. There is so much love and meaningful memories behind those little white guavas.
There are two of us...😂...I'll save you some for when you get here.
But I'm sure your guavas are big, red and grafted...right?
😁 yes
It couldn't be any other way with the smart girl you are.
I checked the graft and the branch is still alive... it looks like it will have a future. Hahaha...no, you're the smart one.
Good for you! And believe me, I have never done a graft despite being an agronomist...
🤣
