RE: Kitty's Tale

Too weak to even move much... this was what kitty looked like

Poor cat. I am glad you had the compassion, love or whatever to save her.

It IS a big deal for us to be responsible for a life, be it a lil kitty. Afterall, they then become a member of the family, do they not...

I agree. They are indeed family members. I live with a Harris's hawk, and we love each other so much. We literally sleep together.

Somewhere along the line, I guess we decided in a by-the-way fashion that we would keep her. (Or not?) And let me say frankly, it's not been all roses, far from it - cats and all animals, like humans, each have their own characters. Kitty is a direct opposite of our old cat.

Every animal have their own personality. Just like people. They have souls too. Every living being have a soul. I know that some people debate (or even deny) this, but this is my belief/conviction. Every living being have a soul.

Even if you will not keep the cat, you already saved her, and that is a great deed. You are a very good person. If you keep him/her, then I am sure that you will love him/her. If not, then I am sure that you will find a loving and responsible person/family, who will take good care of her.

We had two cats approximately 10 years ago. We also took them from the street, right in front of the house we lived in. They were in good condition, so this was not a saving. Both of them were black. One of them was a male skinny, the other was a fat female. At first my mother did not thought, but she loved the fat cat over time. The fat cat slept with my mother and with my brother, and the skinny cat slept with me. This was in the XXII district (Budafok) of Budapest, Hungary.

We could kept them until we moved to another house. The skinny cat simply disappeared when we moved the things from one house to another. The fat cat disappeared shortly after we took her to the new house. She went outside, and she did not returned. We do not know what happened to her. Later we accepted another, a black and white cat. He/she was a rescued cat (not by us). That cat was not as cuddly as our previous two cats, but we still loved him/her. One day he/she went outside, and a few days later we found him/her dead a few streets away. He/she was hit by a car. This was around 2013-2014. We have not had a cat since then.

Even if this cat is the opposite of your previous cat, probably you can still love him/her. Time will tell.

Either way, thank you for saving him/her. This is very good to see.

Have a nice day and have a nice weekend. All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.

Thank you very much for your kind words and support, @xplosive.
We will worry no end if the cat goes outside... so the previous and this one will be 100% indoor cats. So many stories of them meeting tragic ends and many a time you won't even know what happened... :( Living in an apartment makes keeping them indoor easier I guess. Will write more stories/tales of Kitty's "adventures" as and when I get to writing... :)

Have a good day and weekend with your Harris hawk too!
