Hi, warm greetings to you all, trust you all had a good night rest and starting the day with a smile and positive mind. I'm here with another 3D piece from my store lol. Today I modelled a backpack. Right from childhood, I've always loved a backpack compared to a cross bag, I wasn't really the type that liked handbags or cross bag so I barely had those. It was always a backpack or nothing. I remember on different occasions that I took a backpack to places or events that a handbag would have suitable better but I didn't care
But as I grew older, I started giving other types and models of bags a try.

Today I modelled that favourite bag of mine. Although I thought it was gonna be a simple and easy going one but I was wrong cause it got complicated along the way. I tried different colours to find out which combination was most suitable, I guess the colours I finally settled for isn't that bad, right?
Permit me to share and explain a few steps of my creative process
Work Processes
So here I started by using a box since it was more easier to sculpt it into the shape and pattern I need. I transformed the box using transform tool, trimmed out the part I didn't want which was the upper edges of the box, then I remeshed and smoothen it

Secondly, I inserted another box, transformed by reducing its side, length and width to give me the front part of the backpack, I also smoothen it to give it a smoother surface

Here I duplicated the box, resized and reshaped it to make a cover for the front and a cover handle as well.

After which I made two smaller side purse for my backpack. I worked on one side of the purse and then mirrored it to give me the second part. This way I could maintain accuracy for both side purses.

I then went ahead to work on the main bag cover and also the hands or handle.
This was the most difficult part of this sculpting. At first I tried using a sphere to try and achieve the cover but it wasn't possible so I went ahead to try a tube, it still wasn't possible either.

The only way I was able to sculpt the backpack cover was by using two different boxes, voxel remeshed them and smoothen out the rough edges and joined part to make it one piece

And after finishing the sculpting part of the work, I started painting and colouring the different parts of my backpack and took different angle shots of the process

Here I finished the painting, introduced environment lighting to my work to bring more life to it. Although this looked lovely, the dazzling and radiant colour makes it look sweet but I did prefer a calmer tone, so because of that I tried something different, more calm and less vibrant.

Here I had to reduce the environment light, introduced a unidirectional light to my model and I think I like it better. It gives off that calm and soothing tone and effect I wanted, so I settled for this one instead and then took different angle shots to showcase my work as shown below.

And that ends the creative processes of my 3D backpack and I do hope you like my creative piece for today, thanks for dropping by and for also supporting and appreciating my work, see you next time!
