Today I made a very free dress for myself. I have admired this fabric when my friend @monica-ene had bought a part of it to sew a outfit for herself and like you all know, I am equally a dress maker and have a shop of my own where I sell fabrics and also sew for people. My friend has equally bought some quality fabrics from me. She loves fabrics as a seamstress and often do not waste time to buy any good one from my shop.
I decided to use the remaining fabric to sew a long dress for myself which I will be wearing to an event this weekend.

First I cut the dress in two part
I want to sew some knife pleats in the dress

Here I mark my measurements

And create a V-shape yoke for the upper part of the dress and started pleating around the yoke.

After that I cut a simple free hand and attached it to the dress

With an elastic band which I also fix to give the hand a good fitting.

After sewing this I like the outcome of the dress since it is a free type that one can wear to any occasion.

That was the simple style I had made for myself It came out lovely .

it did come out nicely. Good job.

It’s sad I’m unable to view the result
But I like the fabric and I know the result was definitely great

Thank you

You’re welcome
