DIYHUB-Barbie con su vestido de Domingo.[Barbie in her Sunday dress.]

Hacer pequeños atuendos es desafiante pero también muy satisfactorio de hacer, por eso en esta ocasión les quiero compartir el último conjunto que hice para barbie, es un vestido combinado con un chaleco, la tela es realmente preciosa, cuando fuimos a buscar retazos encontramos bastantes muy lindos, pero en muy poca cantidad, así que me traje algunos para barbie jaja.

Making little outfits is challenging but also very satisfying to do, so this time I want to share with you the last outfit I made for Barbie, it's a dress combined with a vest, the fabric is really beautiful, when we went to look for scraps we found quite a few very nice ones, but in very small quantities, so I brought some for Barbie haha.

La tela es de un catálogo porque está en varios colores, y cada retazo es muy pequeño así que hay que usarla con sabiduría para no desperdiciar nada de nada, hice el vestido de barbie que ya sé que queda bien para evitar errores, pero lo corté en piezas, para que entrará y usar toda la tela.

The fabric is from a catalog because it is in several colors, and each scrap is very small so you have to use it wisely so as not to waste anything. I made the Barbie dress that I already know fits well to avoid mistakes, but I cut it into pieces, so that it would fit and I could use all the fabric.

Como quería un saco corto y simple, copie un molde desde el chaleco que hice hace tiempo, con mangas y todo, pero verán amigos pasaron cosas jajaja, coser mangas en Barbie es bastante difícil y la tela en este caso no ayudo nada jajaja, es muy difícil de coser, así que el saco termino siendo un chaleco, tengo en mente como resolver esto, pero hace que el molde sea más grande y necesite más tela, así que creo que deberé mejorar mis habilidades de costura 🧵, ya que la idea detrás de coser ropa de barbie es aprovechar esos retazos.

Since I wanted a short and simple jacket, I copied a pattern from the vest I made a while ago, with sleeves and everything, but you see friends things happened hahaha, sewing sleeves on Barbie is quite difficult and the fabric in this case did not help at all hahaha, it is very difficult to sew, so the jacket ended up being a vest, I have in mind how to solve this, but it makes the pattern bigger and I need more fabric, so I think I will have to improve my sewing skills 🧵, since the idea behind sewing Barbie clothes is to take advantage of those scraps.

El vestido tiene como terminación puntilla blanca, que con el blanco de la tela se ve menos blanco jajaja, pero queda muy bien, salvo por el detalle de que esta puntilla no es elastizada jajaja pequeño error, que ya aprendí.

The dress has a white lace trim, which looks less white against the white of the fabric hahaha, but it looks great, except for the detail that this lace is not elastic hahaha, a small mistake that I have already learned.

Iba a ponerle en el busto, el bajo ruedo y la cintura, pero termine sacando la de cintura porque Barbie simplemente no entraba, podría haber puesto abrojo atrás pero no encontré en ese momento, así que simplemente lo saque.

I was going to put it on the bust, the bottom hem and the waist, but I ended up taking out the waist because Barbie just wouldn't fit, I could have put Velcro in the back but I couldn't find it at the time, so I just took it out.

Para el saco cosí todo e hice ruedos de terminación, pero las mangas no quedaron bien, agarré la tijera y las corté, pero hay algo interesante que salió de esto y es que pueden ser unas medias, con una pequeña faldita se verían bien, es algo que tengo en mente con otra tela que tengo.

For the jacket I sewed everything together and made finishing hems, but the sleeves didn't turn out right, I grabbed the scissors and cut them off, but there's something interesting that came out of this and that is that they could be tights, with a little skirt they would look good, it's something I have in mind with another fabric I have.

Ahora el nuevo atuendo se compone de un chaleco, que le cosí un pequeño botón a presión a mano, estos botones los tengo hace bastante y son demasiado pequeños para una prenda de humano, pero en barbie quedan perfectos, un vestido y unas medias, todo queda bastante bien, y ya tomé los recaudos para que los pequeños errores no vuelvan a suceder jajaja.

Now the new outfit consists of a vest, to which I sewed a small snap button by hand, I've had these buttons for quite a while and they are too small for a human garment, but on Barbie they fit perfectly, a dress and some tights, everything fits quite well, and I've already taken precautions so that small mistakes don't happen again hahaha.

Hubo algunos contratiempos, pero todo es un aprendizaje para las próximas cosas que haga, tengo muchos atuendos en mente con retacitos nuevos que conseguí de la facultad, estos proyectos me distraen bastante del estrés diario jaja.

There were some setbacks, but everything is a learning experience for the next things I do. I have many outfits in mind with new scraps I got from college. These projects distract me a lot from daily stress haha.

Creo que es un atuendo que se vería muy lindo en tamaño persona, la tela es muy suave, respirable y la forma en la que esta tejida es muy linda también, si llego a encontrarla voy a comprar para un vestido para mí, y como no podía faltar una pequeña sesión de poses con el nuevo atuendo.

I think it's an outfit that would look really cute in a real size, the fabric is very soft, breathable and the way it's woven is really nice too, if I manage to find it I'm going to buy a dress for myself, and of course a little posing session with the new outfit.
