These little gems are fairly easy to throw together. They are incredibly rich and decadent.
Ingredients:
12 Rhodes Texas Rolls
1 cup Vanilla Buttercream Frosting (any kind of your choosing)
2 cups Milk Chocolate Chips (whatever brand choice you prefer)
3 Tbsp Heavy Whipping Cream
1/4 cup Strawberry pie filling
Deep Fryer or Pan of Oil for frying your doughnuts
Set out the rolls to begin rising (allow to thaw and rise about 40-45 minutes (in a warm place)
Heat your oil and begin deep frying the dough
I did both doughnuts for stuffing and holes to dip in the ganache.
Fry all of the doughnuts and allow to cool.
As they are cooling you are going to throw together your strawberry cream filling and the chocolate ganache that you will dip the stuffed doughnuts and the doughnut holes in.
Strawberry Cream
mix the frosting and strawberry filling together and place in a bag that you will cut the tip of the bag and push into the center of the doughnut.
Set these aside and start the ganache
Place the chips and heavy whipping cream in a small sauce pan on the stove and on medium heat melt and stir until smooth
Grab one of the cooled doughnuts and stab a hole in the side with a butter knife. Grab the bag of strawberry cream and pipe it into the center until the mixture begins to spill out the side of the doughnut.
Then take the doughnut over and dip it into the silky ganache
Continue the process until you have dipped each doughnut.
Plate and eat...
