Hello to all members of this community and craft lovers! This time, I'm here to show you how I made some Christmas hats based on the clowncore style, which is based on clothing and accessories with a circus or clown theme. I really love that style, and since I needed to make a Christmas hat for myself, I thought I'd try to make it more like a jester's hat. I loved the result so much that I ended up making several hats, and both my sister @maisugar and my mother @pinina wanted one ✨

The first thing to note is that to make these hats, I only had the scraps of green and red fabric I had, so I initially thought about simply making one hat of each color. Then it occurred to me to combine the two colors to make a different hat, since the ones you find in stores are all the same. I cut triangles with a base of approximately 35 cm and a height of 50 cm, closing each triangle from the point to about halfway, as I would then join them to the triangle of the other color.

Once this was done, I proceeded to sew the edges of the hats, as well as attach some labels.

I sewed a zigzag safety stitch along the edges of the hat's points, and that's how the base of the hat was finished. It's really quite simple.

The fun part was the decoration. At first, I had thought about adding a strip of white or patterned fabric to the base, as well as making pom-poms for the ends. But, to make it look more in keeping with the clowncore style, the ideal thing was to add real bells. So, I sewed them onto the ends so they would jingle with movement.

I bought gold sequins and a wavy ribbon which I ended up gluing to the edge of the base, using liquid silicone.

I also thought of sewing on some pretty sequins I had that look like snowflakes. I like them because they have a lovely iridescent shimmer.

Finally, I decided to use an embroidered ribbon I've had for ages. The colors were perfect for the occasion, so I used it!

And so, the Christmas hats were ready ✨ My sister has already taken hers to work, and several people commented that they liked it because "it was different," so it did its job haha. I've been using mine when I go out to nearby places, but I hope it becomes a regular accessory for my outings in the coming days 🎄💚

¡Hola a todos los integrantes de esta comunidad y amantes de las manualidades! En esta ocasión, vengo a mostrarles cómo realicé unos gorros navideños basándome en el estilo clowncore, el cual se basa en la vestimenta y accesorios con la temática circense o de payasos. Me encanta mucho ese estilo y dado que necesitaba realizar un gorro navideño para mi uso, pensé en intentar hacerlo más parecido a un gorro de bufón. Me gustó tanto el resultado que acabé haciendo varios gorros y tanto mi hermana @maisugar como mi madre @pinina, quisieron tener uno ✨

Lo primero a remarcar es que para la elaboración de estos gorros, contaba con los únicos trozos de tela verde y roja que tenía, de modo que si pensé en hacer simplemente un gorro de cada color. Hasta que se me ocurrió unir ambos colores para hacer un gorro diferente, pues los que se encuentran en el mercado, son los mismos de siempre. Corté entonces unos triángulos de más o menos 35 cm de base y 50 cm de alto, cerrando cada triángulo desde la punta hasta más o menos la mitad, pues desde aquí, los uniría con el triángulo del otro color.

Una vez hecho esto, procedí a coser los bordes de los gorros, así como colocar algunas etiquetas .

En los bordes de las puntas del gorro, pasé una costura de seguridad en zig zag y de esta forma, la base del gorro estuvo listo. La verdad, es bastante sencillo.

La parte divertida, fue la decoración. Al principio había pensado en colocarle una tira de tela blanca o estampada en la base, así como hacer unos pompones para las puntas. Pero, para que luciera más acorde al estilo clowncore, lo ideal era colocarle cascabeles reales. De esa forma, cosí los mismos en las puntas, de modo que sonasen con el movimiento.

Compré lentejuelas doradas y una cinta ondulada que acabé pegando en el borde de la base, utilizando silicón líquido.

También, se me ocurrió coserles unas lindas lentejuelas que tenía y que parecen copos de nieve. Me gustan porque tienen un lindo brillo tornasol.

Para finalizar se me ocurrió utilizar una cinta bordada que tengo desde hace muchísimo tiempo. Los colores eran perfectos para la ocasión, así que ¡Al gorro!

De esa forma, los gorros de navidad estuvieron listos ✨ Ya mi hermana lo ha llevado a su trabajo y varias personas le comentaron que les gustaba porque "era diferente", así que cumplió con su cometido jaja El mío lo he estado usando para cuando salgo a sitios cercanos, pero espero que se convierta en una accesorio recurrente en mis salidas de los próximos días 🎄💚
