I am so sorry that you and your family went through this......
When I worked in construction I had times where I had to pickup where contractors had abandoned job sites. It's not easy for the homeowner, and it's not the best situation for the new contractor. I am so glad that you have a new contractor that will fix this mess, and give you your home back!😀

Thanks @silvertop, it must have been hard picking up abandoned jobs. I see how tricky it is for my current builder, but fortunately it seems like he is doing a good job of picking up the mess.
