Crochet Carnation Flower Bouquet with me

in DIYHub5 days ago

Hi guys! So today I'll be showing you how I made this beautiful carnation flower. I love flowers a lot even tho I'm yet to see most of them in real life lol.
For this post, I'll be telling you how I made the carnation and maybe next time I'll make a post about the lavenders.
I honestly loved how the bouquet turned out. My favorite thing about this whole bouquet is the color. I love red, and everything about it
.

So here's a little story...............

Once upon a time, there was a young girl named Bella who went yarn shopping in the forbidden market.
She had some specific colors in mind, which were blue, yellow, green, white, and light pink. After purchasing the colors she went for, her eyes caught a dangerous and attractive red. She was so enticed by it that she bought it even tho she didn't have any use for it at that time
.

Immediately she got home, she scrolled through her grandma's old crochet book and found a pattern on how to make carnation flowers, and yes! She thought the red color yarn would be perfect for the job.
After making the flower, she thought to herself that the flower would be even more perfect if she made it a bouquet of carnations, but sadly, she got just one yarn, which she had used already.
This made her so sad she had to find her way into the evil dark market again
.

On getting there the second time, she couldn't find her way to the old witch's store where she bought the particular red that caught her eye, and the worst thing was that she didn't bring any samples with her to help with buying the exact color. She finally got a couple of red yarns.
When she got home, she brought out the yarn and shouted at the top of her lungs because only then did she realize that she had gotten a different shade of red.
She was so angry and lost all motivation to move on with the project. She abandoned the whole carnation flower project for about a month
.

One day, while she was scrolling through her grandma's old crochet book, she found a lavender pattern, and my oh my!! She fell in love with it again.
She went through her collection of yarns and found out that the perfect color for it was the pepper red she had gotten some time ago, which she had abandoned.
She made four lavender flowers, and they all came out perfect
.

After finishing the project, she thought about making it a bouquet and instantly remembered that she made a carnation flower some time ago. This was a very happy moment for her because when she paired the two flowers together, it came out even more beautiful than she had imagined.................

                           THE END......

So, guys, that was how this beautiful flower bouquet was born, hahaha; I know my story is a little bit too dramatic, but it was fun coming up with it hahaha. Everything about the story is true except for the unrealistic parts 😂😂. I had fun writing this one 😂, Anyway, let's jump right into the steps on how I got this beautiful bouquet.

This was my first time making a bouquet,so wrapping the flowers was a whole lot of work on its own 😂

Materials
Yarn (green, red)
Hook (3.5mm)
Darning needle
Hot glue
Lighter
Flower stick
Cotton wool(for stuffing)

The simple crochet abbreviations I used in this post
Sl st = Slip stitch
Sc = single crochet
DC = double crochet
Inc = increase
Ch =chain

Tutorial on how to make the carnation

Row 1
With your green yarn, Make a magic ring, ch 1 and 5sc into the ring, then SL St to close the first round.

Row 2
Ch 1, and inc in every loop = 10 and SL St

Row 3
Ch 3, inc in every loop =20 and SL St

Row 4
DC in every loop

Row 5
Ch 3 and inc in every loop =40. Cut off your yarn and attach your red yarn.

Row 6
Ch 3, and Inc in every loop =80

Row 7
Ch 3 and Inc in every loop =160

Row 8
Make 1sc, ch 3. Repeat this pattern on every loop until you go round. SL St cut off your yarn and secure tightly.
Use your darning needle and sew to bring the flowers together. Stuff in your cotton wool and then pull tightly. Cut off your yarn and secure it tightly.

How to make the leaf

Ch 20, SC into every loop, and on the last 3 SC.
Attach your broom or crochet wire on the other side, SC into every loop, SL St, and securely tightly. (The broom or crochet wire is to make it firm)

For these sticks, I used my green yarn to wrap them and used my hot glue to bond the end and the leaf so it wouldn't lose.
That's how I made this beautiful flower.

I can relate to buying different shapes of color a few times when I intended to buy a particular color. These days, I try to visit the market with samples of what I want to buy.

Your bouquet is so beautiful 😍, and for being a first-timer, you did a great job with the arrangements. !LUV

It's so annoying, I'll have to carry samples with me Everytime so I won't end up buying different shades of yellow

Thank you 😊
