Hello @diyhub family, lovers of art and crafts! Today I'm going to teach you how to make the Pirate of Eight from the Splinterlands saga using moldable foam (foam clay). I hope you like this creation — for the whole community — and I'm thrilled to share my experience working with this flexible material. Join me!
Next I will show you step by step the realization of my work. To start with, I will mention all the materials used:

What is the play-to-earn game Splinterlands?
It is a blockchain-based collectible card game (Play-to-Earn/P2E) where players can earn cryptocurrency and token rewards while playing.
If you enjoy card games and cryptocurrencies, "Splinterlands" is a great way to earn while having fun. Personally, I enjoy it even more by creating custom artwork of the card characters.
¿Qué es el juego play2earn Splinterlands?
Es un juego de cartas coleccionables blockchain del tipo Play-to-Earn (P2E), donde los jugadores pueden ganar recompensas en criptomonedas y tokens mientras juegan.
Si te gustan los juegos de cartas y las criptomonedas, "Splinterlands" es una buena opción para ganar mientras te diviertes. Por mi parte lo disfruto más creando arte personalizado de los personajes de cartas.
The Pieces of Eight are an infamous crew of pirates led by Captain Corin Drace, who commands eight fleets totaling nearly seven-hundred ships. They are the bane of the three seas of Praetoria, sailing its coasts and raiding the merchant and trading ships that carry goods from one port to another.
And things have only gotten worse since they aligned themselves with the Chaos Empire. Not only do the Pieces of Eight control the seas, but their pirates can be found in practically every port, where they take what they want from the ships in the harbor before heading to a local tavern to have a good time—namely, getting falling-down drunk and riding roughshod over the locals.
These Splinterlands pirates are people who commit crimes like raiding various merchant and trading ships wherever they want to port, which causes fear among wandering people and locals.
Los Ocho son una infausta tripulación de piratas liderada por el capitán Corin Drace, quien comanda ocho flotas que suman casi setecientos barcos. Son el azote de los tres mares de Praetoria, navegando sus costas y asaltando los barcos mercantes y comerciales que transportan mercancías de un puerto a otro.
Y las cosas solo han empeorado desde que se aliaron con el Imperio del Caos. No solo controlan los mares, sino que sus piratas pueden encontrarse en prácticamente todos los puertos, donde toman lo que quieren de los barcos en el muelle antes de dirigirse a la taberna local para pasar un buen rato —es decir, emborracharse hasta caer y pisotear sin miramientos a los lugareños.
Estos piratas de splinterlands son personas que cometen crímenes como asaltar varios barcos mercantes y comerciales dondequiera que desean atracar, lo que causa temor a la gente errante y a los lugareños.
Materiales / Materials
STEP / PASO 1
In the initial phase, I start by taking a portion of clay in beige color for the development of the body in the creature. Then, with his hands he molded them into a ball shape, giving them a curious finish.
En la fase inicial, comienzo tomando una porción de arcilla en color beige para el desarrollo del cuerpo en la criatura. Luego, con las manos moldeó en forma de bola, dándoles una terminación curiosa.
STEP / PASO 2
Next, I develop the parts of the movement in the pirate: her head, her hat, her ears, her combat outfit in the crew, her hair, her mermaid parts and her arms, always giving my best.
Seguidamente, desarrollo las partes del movimiento en la pirata, su cabeza, su gorro, sus orejas, su traje de combate en la tripulación, el cabello, sus partes de sirena y sus brazos, siempre dando lo mejor de mi.
STEP / PASO 3
Finally, we make the final touches on her face, her defensive sword, and eyes, using beige, violet, black, and white for the shine. This design is a bit more complex, as the parts are smaller when it comes to shaping.
Creating this character in foam clay was really fun, family, because the playfulness with vibrant colors was spectacular, and it has a lovely appearance in its Kawaii version.
Ya por último, realizamos los retoques finales en su cara, su espada de defensa y ojos, utilizando los colores beige, violeta, negro y blanco para el brillo. Este diseño es un poco más complejo, pues son más pequeñas las partes a la hora de moldear.
Crear este personaje en foami clay fue muy divertido familia, porque su complicidad en cuanto a colores vivos era espectacular, presenta una bonita apariencia en cuanto a la versión Kawaii.

It should be noted that this design was sought in the Splinterlands community; but the realization are made by me, with dedication to look more beautiful in the home or bedroom, I will return with new ideas to share with you, see you soon and excellent week.
