Lapel Rose for Corporate Wear

Hello friends I want to share my idea and my love for styling my #corporateoutfits with simple but elegant #accessories. While preparing for a #Sunday outing, I thought of what accessory I could use on my corporate wear, and that inspired me to create a lapel rose. The aim of this project is to design a handmade lapel rose that adds beauty class and uniqueness to corporate outfits.

Although this #lapel rose was made mainly for my personal use it is suitable for office workers choir members and general fashion lovers. It can be worn to the #office church services formal events or special #occasions.

Materials Used

1. #Ribbon

2. Needle

3. Thread

4. Decorative stone

5. Hot glue

6. Lapel pin

7. Small piece of warding

Tools Used

1. Scissors

2. Needle and thread

3. Wax glue gun

Steps

I cut a desired length of ribbon suitable for the size of the lapel rose.

I threaded the needle and passed the thread through the edge of the ribbon repeatedly until the entire length of the ribbon was exhausted.

I gently pulled the thread to gather the ribbon together forming a rose shape and I secured the gathered ribbon by tying a firm knot at the back.

I applied hot glue at the center of the rose and fixed the lapel pin to the back. To achieve a neat finish I cut a small piece of warding and used hot glue to cover the lapel pin.

I turned the rose to the front and fixed a decorative stone at the center using hot glue and I allowed the glue to dry completely after which the #lapelrose was ready for use.

I purposely chose this design and color because I intended to wear it with a black suit and it can easily match any color of outfit. The lapel rose is worn by pinning it neatly on the lapel of a suit blazer shirt or dress. It adds a classy and stylish touch to corporate wear.
Through this project I learned how to neatly gather ribbon into a rose shape and how small accessories can enhance corporate f#ashion. I feel happy and excited about the outcome and I look forward to wearing it on Sunday.
