Pennywise (IT) Fan Art Drawing [ENG-ESP]

Hello dear friends of DiyHub, I hope you are all doing well, in good health and well-being. The year is almost over, and I still wanted to share with you what might be my last drawing of 2025, even though there are only a few days left. I had the opportunity to watch the TV series about the evil Pennywise, called Derry, and it was a great surprise to see how they expanded on what we saw in the previous movies. I really enjoyed, of course, how they explored the lore of this character and especially how they maintained that terrifying aspect, including some intense scenes. That's how I got the inspiration to draw him. I thought, why not? And here it is. I did this drawing on black cardstock for obvious reasons; I wanted to capture the expressions of that terrifying clown really well. I also made a short video where you can follow my drawing technique. I hope you like it, let's get started!

Hola queridos amigos de DiyHub, espero que todos se encuentren muy bien, con mucha salud y bienestar, ya falta poco para que finalicé el año, y aún así quiero compartir con ustedes el que podría ser hasta ahora mi último dibujo de 2025, aunque aun quedan pocos días. Tuve la oportunidad de ver la serie de TV sobre el malvado Pennywise, se llama Derry, y ha sido una gran sorpresa ver como han ido expandiendo lo que se pudo ver en las películas anteriores. Me ha gustado mucho, por supuesto, como se ha ido explorando el lore de este personaje y especialmente como han mantenido esa parte aterradora incluyendo escenas consideradas fuertes. Es así como tomé inspiración para dibujarlo a él, dije, ¿Por qué no? y aquí me tienen, este dibujo lo he realizado en cartulina de color negro por obvias razones, quería captar muy bien las expresiones de ese payaso aterrador. I started the drawing directly, without needing a preliminary sketch, since my skills have improved and so has my confidence. So I began by drawing the nose, then added the eyes, mouth, and head in general, which is larger than that of an average human. I simply sketched out the shape and then gradually added details with colors.

Comencé el dibujo directamente, sin necesidad de hacer un boceto previo, ya que mis habilidades han mejorado así que mi confianza también. Así que voy comenzando el rostro haciendo la nariz, luego de eso voy agregando los ojos, la boca y la cabeza en general, la cual es más grande que la de un ser humano promedio. Simplemente hago mi idea de la forma para luego ir poco a poco detallando con los colores.

Now it's time to add details to fill in the drawing. I start by painting the nose, which is red, but since the scene is somewhat dark, I use the darkest shades of red, mixing them with brown in the shaded areas. After that, I paint the lips, using the same shades of red as the nose. I outline the abominable teeth with white so that their macabre smile is visible. At the top, I gradually outline the eyes, painting them with white crayon.

Ahora si es el turno de agregar detalles para ir rellenando el dibujo al interior del mismo, comienzo por pintar la nariz la cual es de color rojo, pero como el escenario está algo oscuro, utilizo los tonos más oscuros del color rojo mezclándolos con café en el lado más sombreado. Después de eso voy pintando también los labios los cuales llevan los mismos tonos de color rojo que en la nariz, los abominables dientes los voy delimitando con color blanco para que ya se pueda apreciar su macabra sonrisa. En la parte superior voy poco a poco delimitando los ojos pintando con un color de cera blanco.

To paint the face I use two different colors of white, one is the normal white wax color, I use this for those areas where the light reflection is not so strong, while the charcoal white color I use for the parts of the face where the light reflections are stronger- Here you can see how I use both shades of color where you can observe that on the cheeks and on the lower part of the face the light reflection is greater.

Para pintar el rostro utilizo dos colores diferentes de blanco, uno es el color blanco normal de cera, este lo uso para aquellas zonas donde el reflejo de luz no sea tan fuerte, mientras que el color blanco de carboncillo lo utilizo para las partes del rostro donde los reflejos de luz son más fuertes- Aquí pueden ver como utilizo ambos tonos de color donde se puede observar que en las mejillas y en la parte inferior del rostro el reflejo de luz es mayor.

Then I paint the forehead of Pennywise's face, as well as the edges of his hair, to know which parts I should paint with other tones. Since Pennywise is a destructive being that feeds on the terror of those he attacks, he has yellow eyes like large predatory felines, which are a yellowish-orange color, so I make sure to draw the eyes well, adding these tones.

Luego voy pintando la frende del rostro de Pennywise así como también los bordes del cabello para saber luego que partes debo pintar con otros tonos. Pennywise al ser un ser destructor que se alimenta del terror de los seres que ataca tiene los ojos amarillos como los grandes felinos depredadores, los cuales son d eun tono amarillo con un poco de naranja, así que me encargo de dibujar bien los ojos agregándole estos tonos.

Then I painted the rest of the makeup, which goes from the lips, across the eyes, and down to the forehead with a red line that forms his horrible smile. I also created the effect of the makeup hardening and cracking on the upper part of the face. Of course, I added shades to the hair to achieve Pennywise's reddish color, also painting in the shadows.

Luego fui pintando el resto del maquillaje, que va desde los labios atravesando los ojos hacia la frente con una línea roja, que dibuja su horrible sonrisa. Así también en la aprte superior hice el efecto del maquillaje cuando esta endurecido y comienza agrietarse. Al caabello por supuesto le fui agregando los tonos para llegar al color rojizo de Pennywise obviamente también pintando las sombras.

Then I made some of the clothes this evil clown wears, and to give more strength to the white color in some parts I used paint, especially to give light and shine to the eyes, I also did the same with the lips, and that's how it was finished.

Después hice parte de los ropajes que utiliza este malévolo payaso, y para darle más fuerza al color blanco en alguna spartes utilicé pintura, especialmente para darle iluminación y brillo a los ojos, así también hice con los labios, y así quedó finalizado.

What did you think of the final result? I think it turned out really scary. Using black cardstock was definitely the best decision, as it allows for much better light and reflection effects. Although there are only a few days left in the year, I hope this isn't my last post, so I hope to be back very soon. For now, goodbye. Blessings!

¿Qué les ha parecido el resultado final? Pienso que ha quedado muy aterrador, sin duda que utilizando la cartulina de color negro es el mejor de los aciertos ya que s epuedne hacer los efectos de luz y reflejos de una mejor forma. aunque faltan pocos día para finalizar el año, espero que este no sea mi último, así que espero volver muy pronto, por ahora me despido.
