That’s a nice project. Another factor to include in the cost, or the price you put on the time spent on projects like these, is the amount of money you save by staying home. Not that you can really calculate that, but if you weren’t DIYing then you might have been out shopping, dining, or doing some other activity that costs money and isn’t necessarily what you really want to be doing with your time.

That's a great factor! Mind you if I'm not doing this I am more the type to do free stuff like gardening, surfing etc. I am juggling a heap of stuff and could never be bored, that's for sure!! Plus, I learnt new skills, so that's something to factor too!!
Learning new skills, I think that’s my favorite part of DIY.
