Hello, good morning everyone. I'm rekindling my passion for crafts thanks to the holiday season. There are always new ideas to create, and the first one I'm going to share is the "Christmas Table Wreath."
The most common Christmas wreath is the Advent wreath, and that's the one I wanted to make from the beginning, but I couldn't find the purple candles, so I decided to make a simple wreath with just one candle, taking advantage of the fact that we celebrate the Day of the Little Candles on December 7th and 8th.
First, I'll tell you a little about this beautiful tradition celebrated in our sister republic of Colombia, which other countries like ours have adopted for its value and meaningful message.
Hola, buenos días a todos. Aquí estoy retomando nuevamente mi pasión por las manualidades gracias a la temporada navideña. Siempre hay ideas nuevas para crear, y la primera que voy a compartir es la "Corona navideña de mesa".
La corona que se elabora más en navidad es la de adviento, y era la que desde el principio quise hacer pero no pude conseguir las velitas moradas así que decidí elaborar una corona sencilla con una sola vela, aprovechando que se celebra el Día de las velitas este 7 y 8 de diciembre.
Primero les hablaré un poco de esta hermosa tradición que se celebra en la hermana república de Colombia, y que otros países como el nuestro han adoptado por su valor y mensaje tan significativos.
The Day of the Little Candles originated with the idea of honoring Our Lady of the Conception of the Christ Child. In this way, we all illuminate that sacred moment and prepare for his birth.
On the night of the 7th, we pray, giving thanks to the Christ Child for so many good things and asking for protection for our loved ones. The little candle stays lit until the next day.
El día de las velitas nace con la idea de honrar a nuestra Virgen María al momento de concebir al niño Dios. De esta manera todos alumbramos ese momento sagrado, y nos preparamos para su nacimiento.
En la noche del día 7, oramos dando gracias al niño Dios por tantas cosas buenas, y pidiendo protección para nuestros seres queridos. La velita queda prendida hasta el siguiente día
Now I'll tell you how I made my table wreath for Candle Day.
The recycled materials were:
-Christmas ornaments
-Garland
-A cake stand
-A candle
The other materials are:
-Scissors
-Hot glue gun
-Hot glue stick
Ahora les diré cómo hice mi corona de mesa para el día de las velitas.
Los materiales de reciclaje fueron:
-Adornos navideños
-Guirnalda
-Una base de torta
-Una vela
Los demás materiales son:
-Tijeras
-Pistola de silicón
-Barra de silicón
The steps to make my wreath are as follows:
-I placed the garland around the cake stand using hot glue.
Los pasos para elaborar mi corona son los siguientes:
-Coloqué la guirnalda alrededor de la base usando silicón caliente.
-Then I placed the candle in the center and secured it.
-Next, I put a ribbon over the garland.
-And finally, I attached the ornaments, Christmas flowers, and colorful baubles.
-Luego ubiqué la vela en el centro fijándola también.
-Seguido le puse una cinta sobre la guirnalda.
-Y finalmente le fui fijando los adornos, flores navideñas, y esferas de colores.
In this way, my wreath was ready to be placed as a centerpiece, but before that, I lit my little candle and said my prayer.
I hope you liked it. You can also make the Advent wreath the same way, but in the center place three purple candles and one pink candle, symbolizing the four Sundays of Advent, and one white candle to light on Christmas Eve.

De esta manera mi corona quedó lista para colocarla como centro de mesa, pero antes de eso, prendí mi velita e hice mi oración.
Espero que les haya gustado, también pueden hacer la corona de adviento de la misma manera pero en el centro de le colocan tres velas moradas y una rosada simbolizando los 4 domingos de adviento, y una blanca que se enciende en nochebuena.
