Before enjoying a good meal (at least, I hope so 😄), a little pre-dinner stroll in the peaceful Diana Garden is a must.
This garden takes its name from the lovely statue of Diana with the Doe, emblematic of the goddess of the hunt, who watches over its heart.

Created in the 17th century, the garden initially featured meticulously arranged boxwood parterres adorned with classical sculptures, offering an elegant and symmetrical composition typical of French gardens.
Under the Empire, it was transformed into an English-style garden, adopting winding paths, lawns, and freer plantings, giving it a romantic charm that can still be enjoyed today.

Avant de savourer un bon repas (enfin je l'espère 😄), une petite balade pré-digestive dans le paisible jardin de Diane s’impose.
Ce jardin doit son nom à la ravissante statue de Diane à la biche, emblème de la déesse de la chasse, qui veille en son cœur.

Créé au XVII^ème siècle, le jardin présentait alors des parterres de buis méticuleusement agencés, ornés de sculptures classiques, offrant une composition élégante et symétrique, typique des jardins à la française.
Sous l’Empire, il a été métamorphosé en jardin à l’anglaise, adoptant des allées sinueuses, des pelouses et des plantations plus libres, lui conférant un charme romantique que l’on retrouve encore aujourd’hui.
