Naturally, one cannot help but marvel at the magnificent Horseshoe Staircase at the château’s main entrance before heading out to the Garden of Diana for a breath of fresh air.

This intimate and charming garden is the smallest of the château's green spaces. It takes its name from the statue Diana with the Doe (which we’ll see in an upcoming post), a graceful representation of the goddess of the hunt, standing majestically over the central fountain.

Once reserved for the private use of the sovereigns, this garden offered the kings and queens of France a haven of tranquility, sheltered from prying eyes. Its pathways, lined with carefully tended flowerbeds, invite one today to stroll and enjoy a touch of bygone elegance.

Evidemment on s'extasie sur le magnifique escalier en fer à cheval de l'entrée principale du château avant de filer prendre l'air au jardin de Diane.

Ce jardin, intime et charmant, est le plus petit des espaces verts du château. Il doit son nom à la statue "Diane à la biche" (que nous verrons dans un prochain post), une représentation gracieuse de la déesse de la chasse, qui veille majestueusement sur la fontaine centrale.

Autrefois réservé à l'usage privé des souverains, ce jardin offrait aux rois et reines de France un havre de tranquillité, à l'abri des regards indiscrets. Ses allées, bordées de parterres délicatement entretenus, invitent aujourd'hui à une flânerie empreinte de l'élégance d'antan.
