Hallo Allerseits!
Hi All!
Today I just have a short update about my progress of my miniatures. My three Assault Intercessors are complete at last. The backpacks were finished, battle damage got added and the bases had been created. The weapons and parts of the armour then got some white scribblings before everything got sealed by a coat of transparent spray varnish.

I like the poses of those three even more than the Lieutenant so I bought another sprue with five more Assault Intercessors from an online classified ads page. That sprue has to wait a bit though because I have to finish the other two Lieutenants first. I wish to see how I like the colour schemes of the Blood Angels and Dark Angels on those miniatures. I had ordered the needed paints as part of my last hobby order. Their parts were already deflashed and basecoated and the first one got some colour yet. After spraypainting the basecoat, two to three layers of Mephiston Red were applied. The metallic parts and the tube-like connections of the armor got painted with Abaddon Black. The golden parts then got a layer of "Gehenna's Gold before they were inked with Agrax Earthshade. This ink also was carefully applied into all the recesses between the red armour parts. The seal was basecoated in Caliban Green and got some accents with Warpstone Glow followed by a few dots of Moot Green. Last some Leadbelcher was brushed onto the silvery straps at the sides of the torso and the same colour was gently drybrushed onto the black armour connection parts. Didn' got further so far with this one. 😅
Ich wünsche Allen noch eine schöne Woche!
I wish you all a nice week!
Very nicely painted! My SO loves his Death Guard. So much so, I worry I'll come home one day and my desk will be taken over.
Thanks ^^ Regarding the desk just do it like me and have so much stuff scattered on it that there is simply no place to set a foothold on - have to make place for the cup of coffee from time to time though 😅
As a ghost writer my desk is always filled with notes! Maybe that will deter him!
When are you posting more about your 40k stuff dude?
There had not been much time for my miniatures. My employer did not want to give me a raise so I spent my time looking for a new job last summer to soften up the inflation effect on my family. That cost me a lot of my free time and when I finally found a new job an confronted my employer with tat fact, he finally agreed to give me a raise so I stayed there in the end ^^ So that was kind of successful but the whole process somehow drained all my energy. Then my whole winter vacation was used up for renewing our kitchen (we got the old one in 2004 and it was even a used one then) because my child an wife got the flu and I had to do most of the renovating stuff on my own. The first month of this year was mostly dark and rainy so after coming home from work my batteries were always depleted. Don't know if that's all some long time effect from my covid infection during my last summer vacation or simply because of missing the sun ^^ I have this week free though so perhaps I will finish the Blood Angel Primaris Lieutenant. Would be a good time to come back, perhaps with shorter posts and most of the translation not done manually anymore to prevent exhaustion g
Hey bud! I know exactly the way all that feels! I have three kids and at least now they are getting to the age that will allow them to join me at the hobby shop without climbing the frikken walls!
Yeah man, one step at a time.
I feel for you about the finances, but I have also been there constantly this year where I have needed some extra monies... which is why it a great idea to post more on Hive!
