LOVING HIVE FOR A SECURED SPACE FOR CREATORS NOT A RENTED SPACE.

"Why are content creators treated this way? Isn't there a different platform where we can own our voice and space permanently, and not rented sites?"

So, I wondered a few years ago.

Oh, no, you will understand when you read this post to the end.

The year is about to end, and this was one of the reflections I had.

You know what? I first started creating content on Facebook, and after some years, I created my page. I realised I was suspended after reacting and commenting on some posts. So, I informed a fellow content creator friend, and I was told they suspect I wanted to run ads for creating a page. Lol.

That sounded funny because I had no intention of that and still don't. Well, it was annoying because I wasn't told of my offence; they will always say you violated one of our policies. "One of your policies? I thought and questioned. Which one exactly?"

Well, I waited for about a week or two for the suspension to be over. Then I became worried about creating content both on my profile account and page. I wasn't free again.

I had built an audience who always looked forward to reading my posts. At that time, I was also moderating a Facebook group for a praying ministry and had to focus more on that.

After some time, I still had to create on both accounts, just that I wasn't consistent. My page is more about the foods and baked products I create.

Sometime last year, I also had an experience on X. I was locked out, and I said, "Why lock me out of my account?" I felt it was because of the numerous scam accounts I blocked and deleted for tagging me and adding me to some groups.

Anyway, it wasn't long before I got it back, as I was asked to go through a process. It happened about two more times within a few months. But then it made me laugh, like: "Oh, I've had such an experience."

Initially, I had no idea about the Facebook monetisation part, then I heard some countries were being paid for creating content, but not all. So, I questioned:

"Why will you create a platform for creators, pay some of them and leave the rest unpaid, but you continue earning from their content?"

The criteria for monetisation were like a 10-year job fulfilment target. Haha. Well, I kept creating content to add value and build an audience and a community.

🌟 But then, I felt there was something better out there. A platform where I will own my account, my voice, and if it is a monetisation platform, all creators will be monetised. As long as one creator is earning, all should be earning. A place with more positivity and good people.

Will I say I attracted Hive to myself? Yes!

I believed there was a system like Hive even before I was introduced to Hive.

Hive gave me a space I imagined to create safely, connect, learn, impart knowledge, speak more through writing and share my thoughts.

I have learned so much from the Hive blockchain. My level of crypto knowledge is from Hive, and the best of it is that this year, I was able to invest in some tokens after understanding how they work, which was one of my goals on my vision board. Unknown to me, I hit that and realised later.

Hive is not only about the currency, but it's about the loving community, the oneness, desire for growth, and the acts of kindness that spread like ripples on water.

Hive promotes love and growth. Some weeks ago, during a reflection session, I thought:

Hive is like an institution or an Academy that offers free education.

With all my experiences on Hive, the peace of creating, engaging with other creators and also earning while doing so, gives me a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment as a content creator, and I know there will be more to come moving forward.

Hive For All

I tried other blogging platforms like Blogger, Medium, Substack, which all had their limitations and not all countries could earn on these platforms. For the eligible countries, it was not easy for them; they needed traffic, a certain number of views and criteria for monetising content.

Other non-eligible countries for monetisation could publish content on Medium and Substack, without earning. Their content could be used for publications without their notice. You can imagine.

Over to Hive...

Hive embraces all content creators irrespective of location, and if we had people living on Mars, it would have embraced them. Lol. I experienced the love and warm welcome at my first post. I was amazed by the willingness of others to help each other grow.

Dreams To Reality

I knew I would be back to singing and improving in my musical talent and journey, but I never knew it would be soon and through Hive.

This means a lot to me as I have imagined going to the studio, creating music in the studio and doing more. I have shared my musical talent in some music communities and contests.

This makes me happy, and I look forward to achieving more in this field, lifting souls, inspiring and touching lives with every message in every cover song and original songs I publish.

I have also presented more of my quotes in my blogs and designed more of them, and I hope to achieve more with others I have yet to publish, which I know you would love to see.

Easy Monetisation

Monetisation is easy, right from the first blog post published with originality and creativity, to comments, to microblogs and even curation rewards, Wow! Awesome stuff!

No monetisation rules like number of followers, views, reading time spent on blogs, and all that monetisation stuff that other platforms consider necessary.

Hive appreciates and rewards content creators who bring in genuineness and originality to their content, and I believe all content creators should be rewarded for their genuine efforts.

The earning opportunities are varied, from participating in community contests, initiatives, and sharing personal experiences to curating other creators' blog posts. In curating posts and using certain hashtags in blogging, you can earn other Hive tokens, which is great.

Absence of negativity

You will agree with me on this. I love the fact that I can come to Hive to blog and engage on some content without people abusing each other the way you must have seen on X, Instagram and Facebook. It helps to keep one's sanity.

Freedom With Caution

I love the fact that there is freedom with caution. If we were left 100% free, I bet you, we probably might have an ecosystem negatively charged with insults flying upandan (up and down)... "upandan" is a slang used in my country. Chuckles.

Hive would have been a mess. Imagine a place with no community rules, it probably might be worst that X, the negativity and shaming might be on a high level.

Wrapping Up
Hive is a place to be for all genuine creators who want to add value, benefit and grow in their content creation journey.

I am loving Hive, learning each day, and having fun in various communities and with some projects.

The year is about to end, and Hive was a place to be again this year to create content and make dreams a reality. Thank you, Hive, thank you, Lions, thank you, friends.
