Hello #lovinghive community, this is my first time posting in this community, and I’m doing so to participate in the initiative by @rutablockchain, which invites us to ask ourselves: Why do you stay on Hive?

I want to share that I have always felt attracted to blockchain technology, and I heard about Hive several years ago. However, I live in Cuba, and here I didn’t know anyone in my close circle who was involved in it, which made it very difficult for me to get started. A few months ago, I finally managed to create my account and began publishing and learning about this world. I already had some knowledge of crypto and trading, but once I arrived here, everything changed.

In recent times, with the general decline of the crypto market and Hive hovering around prices that many find discouraging, a legitimate question arises: Is it worth continuing on Hive?

My answer is yes. Not in a naive or romantic way, but based on experience, learning, and personal transformation.

Why do I say this? First of all, because of my curiosity about the crypto world, something that has always interested me: the universe of cryptocurrencies and everything related to blockchain. I came to Hive motivated by that curiosity, by the desire to understand how this ecosystem works beyond price and speculation. Hive is a gateway to what is called Web3, but in a practical, alive, and human way.

For me, Hive is not just a coin or a chart that goes up and down; it is a network, an idea, and a different way of interacting on the internet.

On Hive, I have found many things. Among them, I have recovered the pleasure of reading good books. Through communities, reviews, and debates, I reconnected with literature, with stories that invite us to think, question, and grow.

Reading is no longer just a solitary act, but a shared experience, enriched by other perspectives and reflections. That reunion, for me, has no price. And what a pleasant surprise it has been to see myself writing and publishing short stories and reflections that people from different parts of the world later comment on, sharing their impressions and congratulations. Sometimes, when talking with my wife, she asks me how much I earned from an article I wrote, and my answer goes far beyond a number. There is the joy of reading a comment, even receiving a prize from a contest. The best part is the acceptance and appreciation of others.

Hive demands constant learning. It is not a passive network. Here, one learns to write better, organize ideas, research, respect rules, understand new technologies, and communicate with people from different cultures.

Of course, that demand turns into a necessary and attractive form of self-improvement, because growth is not imposed but chosen. Each post is an opportunity to do better than the previous one.

A determining factor in my decision to stay is personal growth, which has become fundamental for me. The personal development topics I have reflected on thanks to Hive, habits, emotions, purpose, discipline, and meaning in life, have been truly impactful.

These topics do not remain only as written words; they change the way one sees the world, faces difficulties, and makes decisions. In my case, they have been a silent but constant guide.

The people I have met on Hive are an added value that does not appear on market charts.

On Hive, friendships are also made. Real bonds are created, even if they are digital. One learns to support and to be supported. One receives words of encouragement in difficult moments and celebrates others’ achievements as if they were one’s own.

That does not appear on CoinMarketCap, but it sustains the community when prices fall.

I will not deny that the economic aspect is important. In the current situation of my country, any additional income is necessary and valuable. Hive has been and continues to be a real support.

But if Hive were only about money, many would have already left. I stay because there is much more here than monetary rewards: there is knowledge, growth, community, and purpose. It is true that the effort made under the conditions in Cuba, often without electricity, with poor internet connection, and in my case, from a mobile phone, makes us wish for stronger votes over time. But I see it as something temporary. Better times will come for Hive, and staying will have been the right decision. I only wish I had joined from the beginning to have more HP and greater growth.

In short, the price of Hive may go down, go up, or remain stable, but what I have gained here does not depend on the market. I stay on Hive because it has given me tools, habits, friendships, and a different way of learning and expressing myself. Now I think about Hive all the time. I walk down the street and see a puddle of water and take a photo of its reflection. I see the shadow of a tree and do the same. I notice an old building or a monument, learn a new recipe, in short, all those aspects of life that used to go unnoticed.

As long as Hive continues to be a space where we create, learn, and share, my motivation will remain intact, beyond the price of the token.

Por qué sigo en Hive cuando el precio cae

Hola comunidad #lovinghive, es primera vez que publico en esta comunidad y lo hago para participar en la iniciativa de @rutablockchain que nos hace preguntarnos ¿Por qué sigues en Hive?.

Les cuento que siempre me sentí atraído por la tecnología blockchain y escuché hablar de Hive hace varios años, pero vivo en Cuba y aquí no conocía a nadie en mi círculo que estuviera en ello, por lo que me fue muy díficil entrar. Hace unos meses logré hacer mi cuenta y comencé a publicar y aprender de este mundo. Ya tenía algún conocimiento de cripto y trading pero al llegar aquí todo cambió.

En los últimos tiempos, con la caída general del mercado cripto y con Hive rondando precios que para muchos resultan desalentadores, surge una pregunta legítima, ¿vale la pena seguir en Hive?

Mi respuesta es sí. No lo hago de forma ingenua ni romántica; es una respuesta basada en la experiencia, el aprendizaje y la transformación personal.

¿Por qué digo esto? Pues en primer lugar está mi curiosidad por el mundo cripto que siempre me ha interesado, el universo de las criptomonedas y todo lo relacionado con la blockchain. Llegué a Hive motivado por esa curiosidad, por el deseo de entender cómo funcionaba este ecosistema más allá del precio y la especulación. Hive es una puerta de entrada a eso que llaman web 3 pero de una forma práctica, viva y humana.

Para mí Hive no es solo una moneda, ni una gráfica que sube o baja, es una red, una idea y una forma distinta de interactuar en internet.

En Hive he encontrado muchas cosas, entre ellas he recuperado el placer por la lectura de buenos libros. A través de comunidades, reseñas y debates, volví a encontrarme con la literatura, con historias que invitan a pensar, a cuestionar y a crecer.

Leer ahora es más que un acto solitario, sino una experiencia compartida, enriquecida por otras miradas y reflexiones. Ese reencuentro, para mí, no tiene precio. Y qué sorpresa más agradable verme escribiendo y publicando minicuentos y reflexiones que luego personas de diferentes partes del mundo me comentan y me dan sus impresiones y felicitaciones. A veces conversando con mi esposa me pregunta cuánto ganaste en el artículo que hiciste y mi repuesta va más allá de un número, está el placer de leer un comentario, incluso recibir un premio por un concurso, lo mejor es la aceptación y el aprecio de los demás.

Hive exige aprendizaje constante. No es una red pasiva. Aquí uno aprende a escribir mejor, a organizar ideas, a investigar, a respetar normas, a comprender tecnologías nuevas y a comunicarse con personas de distintas culturas.

Claro, esa exigencia se transforma en una superación necesaria y atractiva, porque el crecimiento no es impuesto, sino elegido. Cada publicación es una oportunidad de hacerlo mejor que la anterior.

Un factor determinante en mi permanencia es el crecimiento personal, esto se ha vuelto fundamental para mí. Los temas de crecimiento personal en los que he reflexionado gracias a Hive, sobre hábitos, emociones, propósito, disciplina y sentido de vida.

Estos temas no solo se quedan en palabras escritas, cambian la manera en que uno mira el mundo, enfrenta dificultades y toma decisiones. En mi caso, han sido una guía silenciosa pero constante.

Las personas que he conocido en Hive, constituye un valor añadido que no está en la gráfica del mercado.

En Hive también se hacen amigos. Se crean lazos reales, aunque sean digitales. Se aprende a apoyar y a ser apoyado. Se recibe una palabra de aliento en momentos difíciles y se celebra el logro ajeno como propio.

Eso no aparece en CoinMarketCap, pero sostiene a la comunidad cuando los precios caen.

No voy a negar que el aspecto económico es importante. En la situación actual de mi país, cualquier ingreso adicional es necesario y valioso. Hive ha sido y sigue siendo un apoyo real.

Pero si Hive fuera solo dinero, muchos ya se habrían ido. Yo sigo porque aquí hay mucho más que recompensas monetarias, hay conocimiento, crecimiento, comunidad y sentido. Es cierto que el esfuerzo que se hace en las condiciones de Cuba, muchas veces sin electricidad, con mala conexión, en mi caso desde un teléfono celular, quisiéramos ver al pasar los días votos más favorables. Pero lo veo como una cuestión temporal, ya vendrán tiempos mejores para Hive y quedarse será la decisión correcta. Ojalá hubiera entrado desde sus inicios para tener más HP y mayor crecimiento.

En fin el precio de Hive puede bajar, subir o mantenerse estable, pero lo que he ganado aquí no depende del mercado. Sigo en Hive porque me ha dado herramientas, hábitos, amistades y una forma distinta de aprender y expresarme. Ahora pienso en Hive todo el tiempo, voy por la calle y veo un charco de agua y le hago una foto al reflejo, veo una sombra de un árbol, igual. Veo un edificio antiguo o un monumento, aprendo una receta de comida, en fin cualquier cosa, aspectos de la vida que pasaban desapercibidos.

Mientras Hive siga siendo ese espacio donde se crea, se aprende y se comparte, mi motivación seguirá intacta, más allá del precio del token.
