INTRODUCTION

Good day everyone. Hive is a decentralized platform that has indeed been a blessing to a lot of people. It is not just a place where you earn through writing and creating content but it is also a place where you can learn, grow and improve on your skills and abilities.

MY LIFE BEFORE HIVE

I remember two years ago before I joined hive. I was a stay at home mum with nothing substantial to do. My husband preferred me to help out in his own business but I never really felt like I had anything of my own. I was just living through life dependent on my husband. On numerous occasions I was broke, I would always run out of cash. And most times, when I went to the market to get some groceries and I saw something that I liked along the way, I would be unable to purchase it . I lacked financial independe exnce and that really dealt with my self esteem.

WHY HIVE

When I first heard about hives from my son @trexane. He was on and on about the platform and how you can earn from it. So I decided to give it a try. He taught me everything I needed to know concerning the platform and I began blogging, posting and engaging the hive community. And so far I would say this is the best decision I have ever made.

Over time, I have not only grown Intellectually through his platform but I have also earned massively through it, I bought my phone, Redmi A5 through the platform, I have achieved financial independence through this platform, I also have discovered many hobbies and crafts I didn't know I had it in me to do through this platform. For instance, I found my love for fashion through this platform. I didn't also know I had the potential to write great stories until I joined hive.

Hive has helped me discover and reach a great part of myself I didn't know I had in me. Aside from the financial benefits, I would forever remain in hive no matter what.

MY EXPERIENCE ON HIVE

My journey has been an educational one. Not only has it taught me self discipline, but it has also taught me patience, commitment, hardwork, being intentional and the best at what you do.

I have come across so many obstacles on the hive platform that almost made me give up on hive. Especially at that initial time when I first started. Some weeks I would post every single day but to no avail. My post wouldn't get voted on that big. Hive taught me resilience, I kept on pushing and pushing until I started seeing results.

I've also come across beautiful people on the hive that over time we have now become friends. In the social aspect, it opens my eyes. I particularly love the rule in some communities where engaging in other people's posts is a necessity for your post to be curated. For me, that breeds togetherness, an avenue to connect with other people all over the world, share ideas, opinions and perspectives about life. That's something you can't achieve in just any online business or platform.

MY ACHIEVEMENT THROUGH HIVE

Talking about my hive journey would be incomplete without highlighting some of the things I have achieved through hive.

Financially, I have been able to purchase a laptop and a phone like I mentioned earlier. I can now afford my basic needs and wants without having to ask or beg anyone for anything. My self esteem is at the top, knowing I am and can be financially independent

Personally , hive has enabled me to achieve a high level of self mastery. I feel more intune with my self, potentials and capabilities than ever before. I understand my self better, I know what I need to do to get me fired up, I have good amount of self discipline and resilience that ever before

WHAT MOTIVATES ME ON HIVE

Like I said earlier, you need patience to make it in a hive. And in those days where not was forthcoming despite all I did, what kept me going was my goal and the little rewards I did get. It pushed me further to try harder. Whenever I looked at other peoples content and how big they were curated, I would be motivated to give it another shot, to do better till I got it right.

Also, when I thought back to my numerous achievements on hive, I would be fired up and inspired to continue. Hive showed me what I could achieve if I gave it my best and that was enough motivation for me. The drive to be better, grow more, attain that financial independence, and become the best version of me kept me moving.

WHAT KEEPS ME ACTIVE ON HIVE

Well first of all, hives can be quite an engaging place to be in. With the numerous contests, writing prompts and activities most communities involve in, I can never not be active on hive. The contents alone are enough to not ever get bored. In addition, I find it extremely entertaining reading through other people's work, content and stories. You would agree with me that there is a lot of content produced by various individuals everyday, some can be quite entertaining, while others can be educational, inspirational and so on.

CONCLUSION

Hive to me has grown beyond a platform where I can earn money through writing contents. It is more of a place where I can feel at home, connect with people and friends and connect with myself. I would even dare say, it is now a major part of my leveling up and upgrading in most areas of my life. It has sharpened my intellect and reasoning. It has also changed my perspective on some concepts on life like marriage, health, relationships, finances and many debatable topics in the world today. I have met a lot of people in hive in other countries that ordinarily I wouldn't be able to meet or connect with them physically. But hive made it possible. If I were to sum up everything I have just written down in two words that would be “hive forever”.
