Good day, people of Hive! Welcome to my blog. I will be sharing my top three (3) favourites on the Hive blockchain. So let's dive in.
As I mentioned in the post I published on Tuesday about how I clocked a year on the Hive blockchain, and I am happy about it. It's worth celebrating because it has been an awesome journey so far. Although I haven't been as active as I should be, I am grateful nevertheless.
Hive has been an incredible platform for me. Discovering this platform through my sister, @princessbusayo, has been a huge opportunity for me. Honestly, this is the first platform I've joined that feels so genuine and real because I never expected such a platform to exist, especially one that doesn't require any financial investment to participate. The Hive platform has impacted my life immensely since I joined. I've seen and read many people's testimonies on Hive and how this platform has helped them.
Putting aside what Hive has done for me, the reason I joined was because I often saw my sister on her phone 24/7, writing on the platform. She had urged me to join for a long time, but I was ignorant and refused to join. However, after joining, my life has changed for the better. Before joining, I always depended on my sisters for money, especially for my personal items like perfume, skincare products, etc., but now I can buy these things myself without asking for their help.
Last year December, when I was preparing to go to my hometown for Christmas and New Year, I withdrew money from my Hive account wallet to buy the things I needed, including gifts for my dad. I was surprised by how much I could spend because, if I hadn't joined this platform, I wouldn't have been able to afford such things. Thanks to Hive, I will forever be grateful for this wonderful opportunity.
Hive offers many things, but I will only focus on my top three favourites things about Hive.
Writing of posts
On the Hive platform, everyone has the opportunity to share their content and ideas. Since I joined Hive, it has helped me improve my skills, especially writing my opinion on something, especially topics I hadn't explored before. It has also allowed me to connect with amazing people. On Hive, you are free to express your opinions and thoughts, whether about community topics or personal experiences, and these are often rewarded. Everyone's voice is heard and matters a lot, as the platform values equality, whether the post is bad or good.
Curation Rewards
Curation rewards are one of my favourite features of Hive. When we create and publish posts, we earn rewards in the form of HP (Hive Power) and HBD (Hive Backed Dollar). These rewards can be staked to increase our influence and power on the platform.
HBD Staking
This HBD staking is like a savings on Hive. We can either use it to meet our basic needs or stake it to earn interest.
In conclusion, Hive is not just about earning money for me; it's about my personal growth, improvement, and connecting with others in the community.
