Greetings, everyone! In today's blog, I am excited to recount my experience at the recently concluded Hive Orientation and OCD Onboarding Program held at Caduawan Elementary School. Heartfelt thanks to @annetimistic for the invitation and to Ma'am @lovinglymers for organizing this event, along with the entire team – I can't mention you all but your efforts are truly appreciated 💞. It was a privilege to meet fellow hivers and esteemed speakers, and as an onboardee, the joy was even greater.
PREPARING FOR THE ORIENTATION!
The orientation is scheduled at Caduawan Elementary School, and my sister and I woke up early to prepare ourselves for the event. I was enthusiastic about participating, especially since it was my first time, and I encouraged my sister to join me. She had plans, much like I did initially, but I convinced her to give it a try. This is a great opportunity for us because the area is so accessible. Just a 15-minute ride by motorcycle from our residence.
And finally we're here! Arriving at the school entrance, the refreshing air from the large tree and the surrounding plants created a serene atmosphere. The tranquility of the area, coupled with the brightly-colored classrooms, enhanced the overall beauty of the surroundings.
A LITTLE STORY TIME!

This quote beautifully encapsulates the essence of stepping into the unknown, which can be both thrilling and nerve-wracking. Now, let me share a brief story on my journey to hive. My initiation into this world took a few months, with a virtual orientation led by Sir @intoybugoy and Ma'am @indayclara in August 2023. However, my introductory blog only surfaced in October 2023. The gap highlights the hesitation I initially felt, but thanks to @annetimistic's encouragement, I finally dive in. Although I wish I had started earlier, I believe I'm progressing at the right pace , currently relishing the experience of blogging, establishing new connections, and exploring diverse communities.
THE ORIENTATION PROPER
The orientation, hosted by Ma'am @callmesmile, commenced at 9:30 in the morning, creating an engaging atmosphere. She then introduced the speaker for today who is Ma'am @indayclara.
She started the orientation by setting an active environment where everyone participates and listens. She had a warm voice and gestures that could not make the discussion boring. Before going to the orientation proper, she let all the participants introduced themselves, sharing not just names but also hobbies and interests.
Ma'am @indayclara then delved into the Basics of Hive, detailing the ecosystem and the enticing prospects of earning from our blogging endeavors. Before diving into the exciting realm of rewards, she outlined the crucial "Do's and Dont's in Blogging" and provided guidelines for crafting a compelling "Introduction Blog."
Moving forward, Ma'am @callmesmile enlightened us about our profile on peakd, relating it to Facebook with its reaction button transformed into the powerful "upvote" in Hive.
Ma'am @naymhapz shared her blogging journey, shedding light on the challenges she faced as a newbie and now that she graduated. Also, the subsequent success resulting from her persistent efforts.
The program concluded with a delightful photo session, capturing the vibrant spirit of everyone present. Gratitude fills my heart as I extend thanks to the entire team for making this experience truly wonderful. Let's continue spreading and sharing the goodness of Hive to the community.
