Reasons for staying in HIVE

Hive platform is one of the best web 3.0 platforms, and in my eyes, it's the best one. I joined the Hive platform 4 years ago, and I can clearly remember that I joined this platform because of my curiosity when I saw one of my friends (@ayesha-malik ) shared several Hive post links on another writing platform. When I asked her about it, she explained why Hive is better and different from other writing platforms, but because of my shallow knowledge, I couldn't understand many things. That's how I started my journey here. Naturally, I faced many obstacles and went through a lot of things, as a newbie used to face. After 1 year I became serious about the Hive platform and determined to stay here. Determination was so powerful that I am still active here without losing interest for 3 years. What is actually keeping me here, or why am I determined to stay here? Curious to know? In that case, let me share.

Hive is the platform that gives me rewards for making content here. As far as I remember, because of the intention of earning extra, I started the journey even if I came here for curiosity. I think everyone at the beginning joins here with the same motives, at least for most of the users. Hive is the platform that is actually paying or rewarding me for my efforts, and it keeps me feeling I am not wasting my time here. At least I am not one of them who is wasting time in web 2.0 on social media. My time and efforts have some value at least, and so naturally it is one of the reasons I'm staying in Hive. At least I can say that there is no better second platform than Hive.

I said it's a web 3.0 platform, and the specialty of web 3.0 is decentralization. Because of the decentralization power, my Hive account truly belongs to me, and I am the real owner and control everything related to my account here. This is the platform where I can speak about my mind without having the fear of getting banned or facing restrictions like on Facebook or X. In the case of Facebook or X or other social media, our account doesn't belong to me fully, and the authority can ban me and restrict my actions there. Who doesn't like a platform with absolute freedom of speech? Freedom of speech is very important for anyone and naturally also a reason for me to stay in Hive even if I keep aside the reward.

Hive platform is the meeting place of various kinds of people with different kinds of thoughts. I believe that learning is a nonstop process, and in the case of knowledge, it's better to know as much as I can. I must say that reading the posts from different authors helps me to connect them and allows me to gain knowledge from them. Finance was a very difficult term for me, but I must thank the Hive platform because I learned a lot from here, which helped me to understand the financial term very well, and I am still learning, and I believe that there are many things I can learn from others. The financial knowledge I gained from here is not only effective in online platforms but also equally effective in my real life, which can help me to make the right decisions related to finance.

Writing skill is a very important skill, in my opinion, which can help one person to share thoughts in a better way. Besides, because of writing skills, I can organize my thoughts very well, and I must be thankful to writing skills for it. In Hive platform, I can read various kinds of posts and different types of writing styles, which increases my writing skill automatically. I realized it better when I was writing my research paper, although both are different. It indeed helped me a lot.
The another skill is photography. I used to be a shy person to capture photographs in front of others. I wanted to share good photographs in Hive, and that indirectly forced me to overcome my shyness. That's not the only benefit. I want to share better photographs, and for that reason I need to do better in photography, and day by day my photography skill is increasing. I can feel it very well when I see my old photographs and my current photographs, especially from the perspective of the angle of photography. I must thank Hive for increasing my photography skill. And I am still trying to make it better.

There are many community contests. In a community contest, a topic is given, and writers can share their thoughts related to the topic. The thoughts of every author are different. When I read the posts of other authors, I can't understand the point of view of the other authors as well as their thoughts, and it helps me think widely and multidimensionally on a topic. In real life, having such a kind of border perspective is very important and makes many things easier.

Coming back to the earning again. We have Hive Power here, and it can show the real influence here, and at the same time, it allows us to earn curation rewards from here based on available Hive Power. Curation reward increases the Hive Power, and more Hive Power means more curation reward, and again, more curation reward brings more HP. It's an auto-compounding cycle and increases from time to time. Over time, it can bring massive change in HP. Additionally, I delegate my Hive Power to several projects that give me high APR. Some return in HIVE tokens, and some give it in their own tribe's token. And I use that to increase my Hive Power also, which is also helping me to increase my Hive Power faster in the long run.

There are many second-layer tokens for investment. I think I still have many things to explore, but some popular second-layer tokens are LEO, POB, CENT, etc. As far as I know, all of them are very good second-layer tokens, and anyone can do investment there after doing research.

There is no doubt that I have made many friends on this platform, and I am not mentioning a few names only because I think it will be an injustice to them whose names I can't mention, as I can't remember all the names all the time. I never thought online I could meet so many kind souls, and I feel lucky to be here. I am already so used to the platform that I really can't think about spending a day without showing up here.

The last thing and the most important thing about the Hive platform is the transaction fee. The transaction fee of Hive blockchain is zero. I believe that because of the zero transaction fee, Hive blockchain will be popular in the upcoming days, and I believe that people will understand the value of it well also. Zero transaction fees are indeed a crazy thing for me, and it indeed saved a lot of my assets for sure.
