FIVE THINGS HIVE IS DOING IN YOUR LIFE THAT YOU MAY NEVER TAKE TIME TO NOTICE.

Whenever I welcome a newbie on Hive, my comment always goes, "if you let it, Hive can change you." And this is true for me. I may have taken my time but it bloomed eventually and I couldn't ignore it any more. The truth is, Hive is changing lives and many may not see it because they are too caught up with trying to make the money, they fail to see the advantage they have and get discouraged when the money isn't coming.

Someone told me, "write where you are comfortable" and this is not a dismissible advice. We can get so consumed with writing to earn we fail to really enjoy the gift of Hive. I love how @merit.ahama painted this in her post My Growth As A Consistent User On Hive - The Way Forward by giving pointers to how we can harness growth here. One of her points among many others that I really loved was "letting the growth of others challenge you."

Like I pointed, we can get so carried away with the money that we fail to see the little blessings. I will highlighting five gifts of Hive that we tend to overlook.

Do You Have Any Idea That You Code?

The first is beginners code sheet. I don't know if we all know that the whole creation processes we go through on Hive, writing our post, adding pictures, using certain commands is the most basic language in Coding world.

Practically, this is a window to harnessing a career and manifesting a passion for those who have it. The fact you know how to hyperlink doesn't mean everyone does. I actually never knew what Hive has been doing for me until I got to edit a website for the first time. It was mind blowing! All this time, I was doing something that would come in handy!

So while you write on PeakD, Ecency, Hive.Blog or whatever frontend you prefer, remember that you can delve a little deeper. It doesn't have to stop there.

Do You Know You Build Your Hunger With Hive?

The second is the purpose. For almost two years I have been on Hive and all over again, I have watched my routine unfold and change before my eyes. I mostly don't talk about it but for someone who was battling with depression, Hive was a distraction that morphed into a passion.

First, it was about the money but then slowly, I realized that I could get something more valuable than the money. I speak for myself when I say that I found valuable tools. I look forward to improving myself. I want to improve how I present my content and this somehow has translated to my life outside of Hive.

My morning consists of planning, mapping and engaging. I became challenged by the many genius authors I have come in contact with here. Now, the thing with Hive in this regard is that many who have the passion for it quickly misquote their withdrawal for lack of it. I learned. The reason why you may be shirking away from Hive isn't that bad post you thought you wrote because there was no engagement, or because it holds just $0.03 beneath it. No. Sometimes, we shirk away when we want more (I'm not talking curation rewards now) and don't know how to get it.

We read a brilliant post and go, "I can't write like this". Yes we can. I realized this when I spoke with an author here on Hive who is excellent but felt totally unworthy because there was little to no engagement on her posts. I reminded her that it was the moment to build the foundation for engagement. Sometimes, passion isn't all flowery. The fact that you wake up and have Hive as your first thought is a great sign. All you need to do now is build that fire.

Do You Know Hive Teaches You Economics?

The third is financial literacy. Now that seems obvious, doesn't it? However, it varies. If your definition of financial stability on Hive is earning lots of HBD, you have a lot to learn. Because once you take that HBD outside of Hive, it is gone. I am referring to the more permanent aspect of this education.

I saved my first 100,000 using Hive. If anyone would have told me I would be able to such an amount, I would look at them like they were an alien. On Hive, after getting myself in the right group of people, I was taught to stop looking for instant gratification and also learn to give money to earn more of it.

The one thing I was made to unlearn is the thought that we can earn money for free. It doesn't work that way. Hive quickly teaches you (if you are willing to learn) that value is what people pay for. And that you must give to get. We see this with curation, tokens and stakes.

Do You Know Hive Presents Your Weaknesses?

Fourth is awareness. I may not make comments but I follow the Daily Leo and have been made aware of the things happening around me. I became aware of opportunities out there. I remember reading on soft skills here and remember how I carried out to reading further on it. I learn new things daily here and it is just awesome. I have also become aware of areas I may be lacking especially with this new phase of my life. Creating content and using SEO optimization? We learn everyday!

Do You Know Hive Is An Excellent Confidence Booster Pill?

Fifth and not the least is self-confidence. I start and end my day with Hive. Due to the nature of my work now, I can't be active here 24/7 (like I used to) but I start here daily. It is like the kick start I need. When I'm done meditating, I take my phone and read at least five posts, visit some communities and then move on from there. It is like the small dose of morphine I need to go full thrust into my day.
