HVE TALKS : BEYOND BLOGGING | AMAZING NIGHT OF LEARNINGS AND FUN!

Last October 28, 2021, I attended the HIVE TALKS: BEYOND BLOGGING webinar that was organized by Cebu Hivers who I consider "mentors" and "OGs" of Hive blogging here in Cebu.

The organizers and speakers @ybanezkim26, @indayclara, @glecerioberto , @thegaillery , @themanualbot , @anneporter were generous to share their time and knowledge about the current trends, earning opportunities and beginner friendly information about this new age of technology. I admire their commitment in the things they do, their dedication to research and hone their skills and their passion to educate and grow this community of hive bloggers.

On that day too, I went to my friend's wedding, she invited me and asked me to be one of her witness. The event was whole day so I thought I won't be able to join this webinar, but I definitely didn't want to miss this. So I bought data to access internet on my phone and multitasked listening to them during the afterparty dinner of the wedding. 🤣 Unfortunately, halfway during the webinar, my cellular data ran out 😞 but I hurriedly went home and went back in the webinar. Glad they didn't end yet and I was still able to catch up.

Anywayyyy, here are my insights about the event:

EXPECTATIONS OF THE EVENT

⭐️ I expected that it will be a successful informative event because it was initiated by the people who have been in this field for quite some time.
⭐️ I expected that I will learn new terms about the world of crypto to add in my crypto vocabulary.
⭐️ I expected that the speakers will share their personal journey and insights in their niches.
⭐️ I expected that the event is organized, chill and fun but has a good balance of formal and seriousness in delivering the topics.

MY THOUGHTS AND LEARNINGS

📝 I already read things about the blockchain and cryptocurrency, but it was nice that they showed us videos and other resources explaining it as well as their personal understanding. It was nice to have a refresher again.

📝 I wanted to try cryptotrading but it is still so overwhelming. So many strategies, patterns, indicators etc to be familiar with. The speaker make it look so easy, but I guess I need more time to look at the charts, familiarize and practice. 🤣

📝 I am so intrigued about this hype on NFTs so I was really looking forward to this topic. But I'm not an artist nor looking to invest in this yet. I just simply wanted to know about it and hopefully share it to my artist friends. And it is good to know that there are platforms that doesn't need a fee to sell your artwork.

📝 Overall, I thought that the speakers will only tell us the basics, but I guess they went out of their way to really share the nitty bitty parts of their topics.

MY RECOMMENDATIONS FOR FUTURE EVENTS

📌 Definitely need a part 2, 3, til 100 on this hahah slowly sharing each others knowledge and keep updated with promising projects and opportunities in the cryptoworld, because I really believe that this is the future and so many people will benefit from this.
📌since it is still pandemic, it will still be a little difficult to set up a face to face event but hopefully soon we can. It will be more interactive and fun to meet new people and talk to them.
📌I liked how the event turned out, it was fun, interactive and with the good balance of chill and serious. Hope future events still has this type of flow in the program.
