Loving Hive means supporting one another!
We all have seen the news, we all have noticed that some members of this blockchain are facing a sudden emergency.
Ukraine has been attacked in an attempt of a single person trying to re-write history. People on both sides are suffering now. Ukrainians worst nightmare has come true.
This is my attempt to maybe offer some sort of help. We have people from all parts of the world in this blockchain and I want to call out for everyone in the European Union to think about offering shelter for refugees.
God knows how many people will arrive at the Nato borders in the following days to come. Many don't have a contact or people to turn too.
I wanna offer a place under my roof for anyone on Hive facing this threat and having to leave.
If you make it to Germany and don't know where to go to I will have a place. I also talked to my family near the Polish border on the German side, they will open their house too for anyone in need of help.
I know it is little to nothing compared to the situation many people are in. But I'm sitting here, worrying about one of my early friends here @priyanarc and her dog Gigi.
I feel like this is the least I can offer for anyone, I may not have a lot, but enough to share it.
I grew up in East Germany, so I feel with the Eastern countries.
Please spread the word just in case there is someone in urgent need. Just to have in mind that there are people caring may help the one or other.

This is very thoughtful and kind of you, @bulldog-joy. I wish I could offer the same help from my part of the world...but no help is too small in this sort of situation. It's a tragedy and my heart goes out especially to the refugees...fleeing their home to an unfamiliar terrain just to survive.

These days it shows me that I have people I care for all over the world. Weird saying that without having met in person but I feel it.
Yes! I know exactly what you mean about the weird-saying-that part and the connections all over the world. Sometimes I think because I spent my childhood in the non-internet culture it took a while to conceptualize having connections with people I don't physically meet. Working with reiki has kind of changed that. Hell, I feel connections with people that I don't even know yet, but I'm sure will meet someday, online or in person.

I wished I could help in the immediate situation. This night will be crucial for the people in Kyiv as a take over is imminent. Hundreds of thousand of people are on the run within the country with nowhere to go. It's the second biggest country in Europe, they are stuck. Men 18 to 60 cannot leave the country anymore. Families ripped apart. Animals suffering just as much. I worry for our fellow UA members and wish them strength going through this.
It's insane.

You are a good soul! In case anyone in Ukraine is trying to make it to the #Hungarian border and doesn't want to leave behind their pets, I read yesterday that there's a vet at the border arranging emergency passports. I can't find it back now though, in case anyone needs that info, let me know and I will try to assist. I don't speak the language but live here and I'm sure I could help find resources for someone in case they need it.

Yes exactly! That’s why I decided to do some small part to help. There’s so much suffering going on in Ukraine… State conflicts aside… my heart is always with those directly effected by the social (and very human) condition of war.
We all need empathy and understanding to get through these times. Together we can broker more of what the world really needs ❤️ and as one voice stop the senseless violence of nations.

Your heart really is in the right place. I have little sympathy for the nation states involved in this crisis... but my heart (like yours) is always open for the people in any country... especially those experiencing the degradation of open conflict.

I just found out last night that @priyanarc and GiGi made it safely to Poland! I'm relived to say the least and I hope that innocent people all through out the country of Ukraine (no matter what race, religion, or minority) are able to escape the country before things decline even more...
