[ESP/ENG] La Serie Mundial de las Grandes Ligas. Análisis y pronósticos / Major League Baseball World Series. Analysis and forecasts

Ha concluido la Serie de Campeonato o lo que es lo mismo: La antesala de la Serie Mundial y debo reconocer que ahora sí acerté en mi pronóstico, sobre los equipos que ganarían y pasarían a la discusión de la Serie Mundial.

A lo largo de los Play Off (Comodines, divisionales y campeonato) se dieron hechos que no estaban en la mente de los más entendidos de este deporte y que una vez más demuestran que en el deporte no valen los favoritismos, tienes que demostrarlos. Entre otros, podemos mencionar los siguientes:

•En la Liga Nacional los dos equipos que discutieron la Serie de Campeonato fueron los comodines: Phillies de Filadelfia vencieron a Bravos de Atlanta y Padres de San Diego vencieron a los Dogers de loa Ángeles.

•Los dos campeones de las dos últimas Series Mundiales no pudieron acceder a esta instancia: Dogers de los Ángeles y Bravos de Atlanta.

•El equipo que más juego ganó en la serie regular y favorito, para discutir la Serie Mundial fue eliminado en la serie divisional.

•Los Astros de Houston fueron el único equipo que barrió a sus rivales al derrotar por 3 a 0 a los Marineros de Seattle en el play off divisional y por 4 a 0 a los Yankees de Nueva York en la Serie de Campeonato.

Por último, fueron series de una gran calidad, emocionantes y con un predominio del pitcheo, sobre el bateo. Lo anterior hace presagiar que será una serie bien reñida que se debe definir en 6 ó 7 juegos y sea cual sea el resultado tendremos un nuevo campeón de la Serie Mundial.

Mi análisis de la Serie de Campeonato.

Antes de pasar a la Serie Mundial daré a conocer mi análisis, sobre lo ocurrido en la Serie de Campeonato.

Phillies

LIGA NACIONAL

En esta serie se enfrentaron los dos equipos que no eran favoritos de los entendidos, pues, en la serie divisional se enfrentaron a los equipos más fuertes de la Liga, uno el campeón de la Serie Mundial anterior y el otro el equipo más estable de la última década, pero Phillies y Padres no creyeron ni en Bravos de Atlanta ni en Dogers de los Ángeles.
A partir de esto se enfrentaron:

Phillies de Filadelfia vs Padres de San Diego

Este enfrentamiento terminó en cinco juegos, con la victoria de los Phillies 4 a 1.

Claves de la victoria de Filadelfia

El enfrentamiento comenzó con dos encuentros en San Diego y el equipo de Filadelfia sacó un buen resultado al ganar uno de los dos juegos. Sin embargo, como locales fueron implacables y lograron derrotar a sus rivales en los tres encuentros.

Otro elemento importante en la victoria de los Phillies fue su bateo oportuno. Este ha sido el equipo que mejor ha bateado en la postemporada. En su enfrentamiento con los Bravos de Atlanta le conectaron al segundo mejor pitcheo de la liga y ahora lograron hacer 25 carreras en 5 encuentros, un promedio de 5 carreras por juego.

Otro elemento importante en la clave de la victoria del equipo fue su pitcheo, pues supieron ganar los juegos chiquitos, como el primero (2 por 0) y aguantar en los juegos de carreraje. A todo lo anterior hay que sumarle la alegría y las ganas que le están poniendo a cada juego. Esta motivación constituye un elemento importante, para alcanzar cualquier objetivo que se propongan.

Jugador más valioso o MVP

Si los Phillies de Filadelfia están clasificados para la Serie Mundial es en gran medida a Bryce Harper quien fue el MVP de la Serie de Campeonato y en el quinto juego pegó su tercer jonrón de postemporada, para remontar el juego y ganar el play off por 4 juegos a 1.

LIGA AMERICANA

Nuevamente se enfrentaron por el título de campeonato dos de los mejores equipos de todas las Grandes Ligas: Astros de Houston vs Yankees de Nueva York.

Este enfrentamiento terminó en cuatro juegos, con la victoria de los Astros 4 a 0

Claves de la victoria de los Astros de Houston

Los Astros de Houston tuvieron un mejor pitcheo que el equipo rival y supo contener la tanda de bateadores de los Yankees anulando por completo a su jonronero mayor Aaron Judge quien apenas pudo conectar imparables.

Al pitcheo abridor se le sumó el pitcheo de relevo que fue otra de las claves importantes en la victoria de los Astros.

La tercera clave en la victoria del equipo de Houston estuvo en su mejor bateo y la oportunidad de estos a la hora de empujar carreras.

Por último, fue un equipo más estable que los Yankees, más inspirados, con una mejor campaña regular, sobre todo, en la segunda mitad y como ha ocurrido en los últimos enfrentamientos de estas franquicias los Astros volvieron a triunfar.

Jugador más valioso o MVP

Parecía que los Astros perderían el invicto en el cuarto juego de la Serie de Campeonato, pero de evitarlo se encargó el novato de 25 años Jeremi Peña, quien conectó un jonrón (su 2do de la serie y el 3ro de la postemporada). Este joven jugador de República Dominicana fue una inspiración y se llevó la distinción de Jugador Más Valioso de esta serie.

SERIE MUNDIAL

Phillies de Filadelfia vs Astros de Houston

Esta será una serie inédita, pues estos dos conjuntos no se han enfrentado en una serie mundial. Fueron los equipos que mejores jugaron la postemporada y ese desempeño los hizo llegar hasta aquí. Los dos llegaron por caminos diferentes, pues, mientras los Astros fueron uno de los 4 sembrados de la postemporada, los Phillies tuvieron que pelear contra los Cardenales de San Luis en una serie de Comodines, para poder enfrentar a los Bravos de Atlanta, en la Serie de División.

¿Cuál es mi análisis y mi favorito, para la Serie Mundial?

Los Astros de Houston.

Tienen un cuerpo de lanzadores encabezados por Justin Verlander´s, al que se la ha negado la Serie Mundial, pero que es una inspiración para el equipo. A él se les unen Lance McCullers, Cristian Javier, Héctor Neris, Ryne Stanek, Hunter Brown, Rafael Montero y Bryan Abreu; entre otros que hacen de este un buen cuerpo de pitcheo.

A lo anterior se les unen un grupo de jugadores que le pegan bien a la bola y que han tenido desempeños muy buenos dentro de la serie. Entre otros podemos mencionar a: Jeremi Peña, , José Altuve, Michael Brantley, Alex Bergman, Yordan Álvarez, Yuliesky Gurriel, Martín Maldonado, Chas McCormick y Aledmys Díaz.

Los Astros tienen un equipo más fogueado y acostumbrado a jugar en esta fase del campeonato. A pesar de haber ganado una sola Serie Mundial (2017) han logrado formar un equipo sólido, con un grupo de jugadores de lo mejor que hay en las Grandes Ligas y que están deseosos de volver a ganar la cumbre del béisbol de la Gran Carpa.

Phillies de Filadelfia

Este equipo es una inspiración total y no han creído en equipos favoritos. Derrotaron a los actuales campeones de la Serie Mundial y se impusieron, en apenas 5 de los 7 encuentros contra los Padres de San Diego.

El cuerpo de lanzadores, en el que destacan Zack Wheeler y compañía ha demostrado tener oficio y ganar los juegos necesarios, cuando su ofensiva no ha podido responder. Sin ser el mejor cuerpo de lanzadores de la serie, pudo dominar a los Bravos y a los Padres.

De cualquier manera, debe trabajar con cuidado ante la peligrosa tanda que tienen los Astros de Houston.

De respaldar al pitcheo se encargaría una tanda de bateadores que no ha creído en el pitcheo rival y que a base de buen bateo se han impuesto en sus tres series de postemporada.

Encabezados por el MVP de la Serie de Campeonato de la Liga Nacional Bryce Harper y acompañados por otros toleteros, como Rhys Hoskins, Realmuto, Nick Castellano, Jean Segura, Brandon Marsh y otros se encargarán de tratar de romper a los lanzadores de los Astros y volver a ganar una serie Mundial.

Una reflexión final

Comienza la tan esperada Serie Mundial, uno de los momentos cumbres del béisbol internacional. En medio de tantos eventos deportivos importantes, sin lugar a dudas, este califica como uno de ellos.

Será una serie bien disputada, con un equipo Phillies de Filadelfia que a lo largo de la historia de las Grandes Ligas tiene más historia que los Astro, pero este equipo ha sido, en la última década un equipo más estable. Por una parte, está la inspiración de los Phillies, por la otra la solidez de los Astros y ver, si pueden lograr mantener el invicto y ganar todos los juegos de postemporada.

De cualquier manera, será una serie trepidante y en la que mis sentimientos están divididos, pero, de cualquier manera, disfrutaré la serie y ganará quien mejor lo haga en el terreno.
Quedaría un análisis final de la serie y saber si mis análisis y predicciones han sido las correctas.

Como acostumbro a decir, cuando doy pronósticos: He dado mi favorito, pero como acostumbro a decir: esto es deporte y el favoritismo se demuestra en el terreno porque los títulos no los ganan nombre sino hombres.

• The Houston Astros were the only team to sweep their rivals, defeating the Seattle Mariners 3-0 in the divisional play-off and the New York Yankees 4-0 in the Championship Series.

Finally, the series were of great quality, exciting and with a predominance of pitching over batting. All of the foregoing suggests that it will be a very close series that should be defined in 6 or 7 games and whatever the result we will have a new World Series champion.

**My analysis of the Championship Series.

Before moving on to the World Series I will share my analysis of what happened in the Championship Series.

Phillies

NATIONAL LEAGUE.

In this series the two teams that were not the favorites of the pundits faced each other, because, in the divisional series they faced the strongest teams in the League, one the champion of the previous World Series and the other the most stable team of the last decade, but Phillies and Padres did not believe in either Atlanta Braves or Los Angeles Dogers.

This matchup ended in five games, with the Phillies winning 4-1.

Keys to Philadelphia's victory

The matchup began with two games in San Diego and the Philadelphia team got a good result by winning one of the two games. However, they were relentless at home and managed to defeat their rivals in all three games.

Another important element in the Phillies' victory was their timely hitting. This has been the best hitting team in the postseason. In their matchup with the Atlanta Braves they connected with the second best pitching in the league and now managed to score 25 runs in 5 games, an average of 5 runs per game.

Keys to the Houston Astros' victory

The Houston Astros had better pitching than the opposing team and were able to contain the Yankees' batting lineup, completely nullifying their main home run hitter Aaron Judge, who could barely hit any hits.

In addition to the starting pitching, the relief pitching was another important key to the Astros' victory.

The third key to the Houston team's victory was their better batting and the opportunity for them to drive in runs.

Finally, they were a more stable team than the Yankees, more inspired, with a better regular season, especially in the second half, and as has been the case in recent meetings between these franchises, the Astros triumphed again.

It looked like the Astros would lose their unbeaten record in Game 4 of the Championship Series, but it was the 25-year-old rookie Jeremi Peña, who hit a home run (his 2nd of the series and 3rd of the postseason), who prevented it. WORLD SERIES

Philadelphia Phillies vs Houston Astros

This will be an unprecedented series, as these two teams have never met in a World Series. They were the teams that played the best in the postseason and that performance got them here. The two came through different paths, because, while the Astros were one of the 4 seeded teams in the postseason, the Phillies had to fight against the St. Louis Cardinals in a Wild Card series, to be able to face the Atlanta Braves in the Division Series.

What is my analysis, and my favorite, for the World Series?

Houston Astros.

They have a pitching staff led by Justin Verlander's, who has been denied the World Series, but is an inspiration to the team. The pitching staff, in which Zack Wheeler and company stand out, has shown to have the skills and to win the necessary games when their offense has not been able to respond. Without being the best pitching staff in the series, they were able to dominate the Braves and Padres.

In any case, they must work carefully in the face of the Houston Astros' dangerous bullpen.

Backing up the pitching will be a lineup of hitters who have not believed in the opposing pitching and have won their three postseason series on the strength of good hitting.

The long-awaited World Series, one of the pinnacle moments in international baseball, begins. In the midst of so many important sporting events, this undoubtedly qualifies as one of them.

It will be a hard-fought series, with a Philadelphia Phillies team that throughout the history of the Major Leagues has more history than the Astro's, but this team has been, in the last decade, a more stable team. On one hand, there is the inspiration of the Phils, on the other the strength of the Astros and to see if they can manage to stay undefeated and win every postseason game.

Either way, it will be a fast-paced series and one in which my feelings are divided, but either way, I will enjoy the series and whoever does better on the field will win.
It would remain for a final analysis of the series and to know if my analysis and predictions have been correct.

As I usually say when I give predictions: I have given my favorite, but as I usually say: this is sport and favoritism is demonstrated on the field because titles are not won by names but by men.
