Todo el mundo del béisbol y sobre todo los aficionados venezolanos que apoyan este hermoso deporte estaban muy atentos desde el comienzo de la temporada a los hechos históricos a los que estaba cerca de llegar Miguel Cabrera y este no pasa por debajo de la mesa.

Hace un par de juegos que había logrado conectar el jonrón numero 499, les tocaba luego una mini serie en contra los Angelinos de los Angeles y todos pensamos que serian el momento pero con un Shoei Ohtani intocable en el montículo mostrando mucha calidad solo hizo retrasar lo inevitable cuando no pudo conectar el tan anelado jonrón 500.

The whole baseball world and especially the Venezuelan fans who support this beautiful sport were very attentive since the beginning of the season to the historical facts that Miguel Cabrera was close to reach and this one does not go under the table.

A couple of games ago he had hit his 499th home run, they had a mini series against the Los Angeles Angels and we all thought it would be the moment but with an untouchable Ohtani on the mound showing a lot of quality he only delayed the inevitable when he could not hit the long awaited 500th home run.

Hasta que por fin llego el momento, cuando ayer en el juego entre los Blue Jays de Toronto vs los Tigre de Detroit, Miuel Cabrerra conecto el tan anhelado jonrón numero 500 de su carrera para unirse al grupo de 28 jugadores que han logrado esta cifra o mas en las grandes ligas. Era una de la metas que tenia el aragueño para esta temporada y vaya que lo ha conseguido y como dijo el mismo: "Me quite un gran peso de encima".

Lo consiguió con el sello de fabrica que lo caracteriza, con un jonrón a banda contraria. Muy pocos bateadores tienen esa habilidad que siendo diestros puedan dar cuadrangulares con mucha facilidad hacia la banda opuesta y vaya que Miguel Cabrera ha demostrado que lo hace con mucha calidad y mucha personalidad demostrando ser uno de los mejores bateadores de las grandes ligas teniendo números importantes para poder llegar en un futuro al salón de la fama.

El otro logro que tiene muy cerca "Miggy" es poder llegar a los 3000 hits de los cuales esta solamente a 45 hits de llegar y poder unirse al pequeño grupo de jugadores en alcanzar conectar 500 jonrones y 3000 hits en la MLB los cuales solo han podido alcanzar Hank Aaron, Willie Mays, Rafael Palmeiro, Albert Pujols, Alex Rodriguez y Eddy Murray. Dejando con mucha expectativa a todos los fanáticos del beisbol a estar muy pendiente de los turnos del venezolano que esta próximo ha poder alcanzar un hecho que lo posiciona junto con nombre muy importante en la historia de la MLB.

Miguel Cabrera amado por mucho, odiados por otros. Ha hecho cosas importante en estas 19 temporadas que lleva y ojala que la salud nos permita ver por otras temporadas mas a este gran pelotero que ha pesar del gran talento joven que ha emergido últimamente, se ha podido mantener como el gran 4to bate de los Tigres de Detroit durante mucho tiempo siendo un icono en ete equipo.
