El día de ayer cerraron los encuentros de ida de los octavos de final de la Champions League con uno de los partidos más esperados de esta etapa pero no por el presente de ambos equipos, no, sino por lo que llegaron a hacer la temporada pasada. En el estadio Diego Armando Maradona de la ciudad de Nápoles se enfrentaron dos campeones, el de la Serie A y el de la Liga española, la cosa es que ambos clubes están a años luz de aquel nivel mostrado hace apenas unos meses atrás por lo que en cambio lo que presenciamos la pasada noche fue un partido en donde no habían dos equipos de nombre sino 22 jugadores corriendo detrás de un balón sin un sentido aparente, en casi los 90 minutos de juego.

Yo lo dije en su momento, Xavi es un crack porque decidió quitarse la presión anunciando su salida al final de temporada por lo que si llegan a hacer un buen papel pues se irá como un héroe que salvó al equipo de un fracaso más pero si llegasen a caer en estos octavos pues lo mismo, él dirá que lo advirtió, que el club, vuelvo y repito, está en "construcción".

Entonces, ¿que vimos ayer? - estábamos ante dos equipos que están obligados a mostrar cosas y a obtener resultados, imagina ser el campeón vigente de tu liga y quedar afuera tan rápido en la Champions. Comenzaba el primer tiempo y lo primero que notamos fue una presión altísima del Barcelona, con líneas adelantadas buscaban encasillar al rival con la finalidad de ahogarlo y poder sacar ventaja rápidamente. Pero la realidad es que no es tan fácil como parece, si bien es cierto que el Barca se vio mejor que el Napoli las ocasiones en esos primeros 45 minutos fueron casi estériles, un Yamal que empujaba, un Gundogan que siempre buscó desequilibrar y un Frenkie De Jong tratando de manejar los hilos.

Lo que hay que decir es que Christensen es un completo desastre, no entiendo el razonamiento de Xavi de colocarlo en esa posición de "5" cuando es más que sabido que no se la da nada bien. Es un jugador que no se haya en ese lugar, con malas entregas, pérdidas de balón, etc; y lo más lamentable es que el recambio es Oriol Romeu. Iñigo Martínez es otro jugador que no da la talla, la zaga defensiva tiene que ligar que Araujo tenga una buena noche para que no hayan contratiempos porque depender del ex del Bilbao no es garantía. En fin, un primer tiempo en donde se vieron intenciones para nada en concreto. Por el lado del Napoli pues poco que decir, cuando les digo que en la primera parte no hicieron absolutamente nada no es una exageración, se nota mucho los cambios de técnicos ya que no hubo una demostración clara de juego.

La segunda parte fue más de lo mismo pero en esta oportunidad el que se apagó más fue al Barca a pesar del gol que llegó gracias a una asistencia de Pedri para que Lewandowski en la puerta del área se las arreglara para soltar el zapatazo y batir al arquero. Un 1-0 que era justo por lo visto en los primeros 45 minutos. Pero la alegría duró poco, el Napoli ajustó, hizo cambios que les permitieron tener más el balón, más conducción, más presencia en el campo rival y fue así como llegó el gol de Osimhen casi 15 minutos después. 1-1 estaba la cosa en un partido que fue gris, el Barca no existió en la última media hora de juego y el Napoli con más garra que otra cosa trató de acorralar a los culés pero sin éxito alguno.
The second half was more of the same, but this time it was Barca who were more subdued, despite the goal that came thanks to an assist from Pedri for Lewandowski, who managed to get the ball past the goalkeeper on the edge of the box. A 1-0 lead that was fair for what we had seen in the first 45 minutes. But the joy was short-lived, Napoli adjusted, made changes that allowed them to have more of the ball, more driving, more presence in the opponent's field and that's how Osimhen's goal came almost 15 minutes later. Barca did not exist in the last half hour of the game and Napoli tried to corner the Culés more with more grit than anything else, but without any success.
Viendo todo en frío es una eliminatoria que está abierta para cualquiera. El Barca no se si tendrá margen de mejora con respecto a lo visto pero el Napoli es posible ya que el técnico nuevo Francesco Calzona tendrá más tiempo para preparar el juego y ver a sus jugadores en los entrenamientos, hay que recordar que apenas tuvo par de días de preparación. Todo se define en España par de semanas. No me animo a dar un resultado porque el nivel es tan parecido, para mal, que sinceramente pudiera avanzar el que sea. De los partidos más flojos que he visto esta temporada en Champions League, sin duda alguna.
Looking at everything cold it is a tie that is open for anyone. I don't know if Barca will have room for improvement with respect to what they have seen but Napoli is possible because the new coach Francesco Calzona will have more time to prepare the game and see his players in training, we must remember that he only had a couple of days of preparation. Everything will be defined in Spain in a couple of weeks. I don't dare to give a result because the level is so similar, for the worse, that I could honestly advance whichever one it is. One of the weakest games I have seen this season in the Champions League, without a doubt.

El Barcelona tiene margen de mejora y creo que pueda pasar a la siguiente ronda de la champions pero cuando se enfrente algún equipo más serio y candidato a llevarse el trofeo de campeón, lo tendría más complicado. Realmente no los veo como candidato este año. No tuve la oportunidad de ver el partido, pero gracias a usted, estoy más o menos informado de lo sucedido.

Para mí el Napoli tiene más margen, el Barcelona fue lo mismo de siempre, nada nuevo y con las mismas carencias. Pero si, si llegan a pasar y se vean las caras con otro equipo más fuerte, hasta ahí llegaron.

En honor a la verdad mi estimado amigo no esperaba otra cosa que esto que narras y sucedió. El Barcelona respira porque Lewandoski está encontrando portería y en los dos últimos partidos es quien ha anotado y le ha salvado la cara al equipo.
El Napoli está muy distante dee lo mostrado el año anterior y creo que se van en la próxima batalla.

Hay una estadística que dice que al Barcelona lo han salvado penaltis a última hora en unos cuantos partidos. Este partido tenía toda la pinta de que eso podía pasar. Este equipo no tiene nada a pesar de tener una buena plantilla, lo de Xavi está temporada ha sido un desastre.

El éxito estaba dando el resultado de la preparación para el Barcelona, que todavía parecía singladura a asociar la ventaja. Pero Osimhen le ganó un gran duelo físico a Íñigo Martínez con una buena pegada y con una guinda cruzado a la red, estampó el 1-1 definitivo.
Ya se está haciendo normal la NO reacción del Barcelona ante momentos donde deben ser muy fuertes.
