En el día de ayer el fútbol nos ha dado una nueva alegría a los argentinos, ya se ha convertido en algo habitual y lo vamos a extrañar cuando la buena suerte cambie.
No es un pensamiento pesimista, para nada, solo realista teniendo en cuenta la historia que confirma una y otra vez que las rachas o seguidillas en algún momento terminan, tanto las buenas como las malas. Al menos así lo aprendí de mi abuela, ella siempre decía respecto a las malas que no hay mal que dure 100 años ni cuerpo que lo resista, en cuanto a las buenas rachas no recuerdo que dijera nada en especial, cuando se está teniendo buena suerte es mejor no tentar al diablo.
Volviendo al fútbol, en el día de ayer se disputó la segunda semifinal del mundial de fútbol sala o futsal como se lo denomina en estos tiempos y nuestro seleccionado nacional le ganó a Francia 3 a 2; increíblemente las circunstancias hacen que otra vez lleguemos a instancias definitorias de un torneo mundial ante los galos, nos ganaron hace poco en las olimpíadas por la medalla de oro de fútbol para no videntes y ahora tomamos revancha al ganar este match que nos coloca en la final por el título donde deberemos enfrentar al multicampeón Brasil que obtuvo su pasaje a esta instancia al ganarle a Ucrania casualmente también ellos por 3 a 2, los verdeamarelos dan un poco de miedo aunque los nuestros siempre se las arreglan para complicarles la vida. Y como estamos en una buena racha, quien sabe demos la sorpresa.
Decía en el título de la nota que es la tercera consecutiva y me refiero al match final por el título de campeón del mundo; la Argentina ganó este título en el mundial disputado en 2016 en Colombia, perdió la última final disputada frente a Portugal en Lituania en 2021 y vuelve a estar en el partido definitorio en el 2024, en el torneo ecuménico que se está desarrollando en Uzbekistán.
El mundial de futsal se disputa al igual que en el fútbol tradicional, regularmente cada 4 años desde el año 1989 a excepción del desarrollado en Lituania en 2021 que se postergó un año por la pandemia de COVID. El primer campeón fue Brasil y la sede los Países Bajos, desde entonces el dominio brasileño ha sido prácticamente absoluto imponiéndose en 5 oportunidades, lo sigue España con 2 títulos y luego Argentina y Portugal con uno cada país.
Ahora Argentina tiene la oportunidad de acortar la brecha con los vecinos, aunque la parada no será sencilla, el domingo al mediodía de mi país se define y veremos si finalmente logramos una nueva consagración o deberemos conformarnos con el segundo puesto.
Third consecutive final
Yesterday, football gave us Argentines a new joy, it has already become something habitual and we will miss it when our good luck changes.

Back to football, yesterday the second semi-final of the futsal world cup was played and our national team beat France 3-2; incredibly, circumstances have made us reach the final stages of a world tournament again against the French, they beat us recently in the Olympics for the gold medal in football for the blind and now we take revenge by winning this match that puts us in the final for the title where we will have to face the multi-champion Brazil who obtained their ticket to this stage by beating Ukraine, coincidentally they also did it 3-2, the green and yellow are a bit scary although ours always manage to make life difficult for them. And as we are on a good run, who knows, we will surprise them.
