The history of Formula 1 told by decades

We begin this series of commemorative articles of Formula 1 from its beginnings back in the distant 50's, post-war, three quarters of a century ago, with names of legends that still remain in the memory as Ascari, Fangio, Maserati, Farina, Ferrari to evolve decade after decade to reach the current super technological Formula 1. With other names of teams and drivers that have also been legends or myths in the hearts of motorsport enthusiasts.

Where after intermediate seasons where the propulsion and power of the engines counted a lot, neglecting perhaps a little the safety that caused several fatal accidents, the current category is reached in which the performance of the car, the safety of the circuits and, consequently, of the drivers and the reduction of costs are mixed trying to make it more competitive and give the possibility to other teams to enter the competition, in the so-called "maximum circus" of motorsport.

Circus because, as in the Roman era, the show comes before everything else.

And with this panorama in mind, we are facing one of the decades of greatest development: the so-called "turbo era", which had its greatest expression and development in the 1980s.
