Se esfuman las posibilidades [ESP/ENG]

Hay que ser honestos y realistas. Venezuela ha subido su nivel de juego, pero aún le falta para competir.

Hay partidos que se pueden perder, mientras hay otros que no. Venezuela hizo un buen encuentro ante Argentina, pero un pésimo enfrentamiento ante los paraguayos, y esa derrota sufrida luego de adelantarse en el marcador tiene un tono lapidario, sin duda.

Es cierto que aún quedan oportunidades, 8 fechas donde tienen como mínimo 3 partidos que deberían ganar, sí o sí, contra Bolivia, Perú y Chile, mientras que en los otros 5 se pueden como mínimo obtener unos 3 puntos. De esa forma podrían llegar a unos 23 - 25 puntos aproximadamente que los colocarían entre una 6.ª y 7.ª posición en la tabla de posiciones.

Claro, estas son solo especulaciones de mi parte, pero no dejan de ser realistas por lo que ha hecho la selección en estas eliminatorias mundialistas, y lo que se ha visto de las demás selecciones.

Mucho hay que “criticar” y poco que aplaudir. Venezuela sigue teniendo los mismos problemas en su fútbol y "el bocha" parece no darse cuenta. Es algo irónico porque es muy evidente que la selección nacional no tiene buenos mediocampistas, y sin jugadores que puedan retener el balón y crear juego, es imposible jugar bien

Eso precisamente fue lo que sucedió ante Paraguay. Herrera, siendo el referente en la media cancha, debería estar sentado, y ser Telasco Segovia quien tome las riendas, pero a veces los nombres importan más que el rendimiento de los jugadores. Algo lamentable, pero es una realidad.

La jugada del gol vinotinto parte precisamente de una disputa, recuperación y creación de juego, pero fue la única vez en el partido cuando crearon algo, del resto solo jugar a pelotazos largos para ver qué conseguía Rondón en el ataque.

Con esa forma tan simplista de jugar es difícil tener aspiraciones, y deja claro que lo obtenido hasta ahora ha sido más fortuito que méritos futbolísticos.

Si tuviéramos que exaltar algún jugador venezolano, serían muy pocos: Aramburu, que en todo partido da lo mejor de sí, Romo, quien ha sido un salvavidas en el arco, y Salomón Rondón, pero hay otros como Machis que no deben ser convocados nuevamente.

Particularmente, no espero más de lo que he mencionado: una sexta plaza, si todo sale bien, sería la clasificación directa, pero un repechaje podría ser lo más realista, ya que Bolivia ocupa esa posición hasta los momentos, y tanto Perú como Chile están muy lejos de competir en estas eliminatorias. Ya veremos qué sucede el mes siguiente.

The possibilities are vanishing

We must be honest and realistic. Venezuela has improved its level of play, but it still needs to compete.
