Regreso anhelado para la Juve en Europa [ESP/ENG]

Pasó un año sin que la Juventus jugara en Champions League. Los temas legales acarrearon la suspensión la temporada pasada como todos sabemos; fue un tiempo extraño para quienes estamos acostumbrados a ver este equipo competir en el mayor torneo de Europa a nivel de clubes, sin embargo, la espera termino, y la vecchia signora ha vuelto, y lo hizo de la mejor manera, con una victoria.

Las expectativas sin duda se mantenían presentes, y más por ver cómo Thiago Motta afrontaba esta competición con su nuevo equipo. Ha sido una sensación de frescura para este club. En Serie A han tenido un buen arranque, 2 victorias y dos empates, con una muy sólida defensa y un estilo de juego totalmente renovado.

Ver esta forma de jugar en Champions era algo que me tenía intrigado, y en este nuevo formato, el cual me agrada más que el anterior, pienso que exigirá más a los jugadores en cuanto a competitividad.

El día de ayer enfrentó al PSV en casa; fueron extremadamente superiores. El equipo holandés opuso poca resistencia y presentó un fútbol muy pobre, con poca intensidad. Claro que esto se debe al buen rendimiento del equipo turinés, que desde el inicio tomaron el control del esférico y generaron peligro rápidamente.

El juego de Motta de presionar arriba sigue dando buenos resultados y ha sido uno de los factores clave para que la Juve tenga dicho rendimiento. Sus jugadores han respondido bien a este esquema de juego y se mantienen competitivos durante todo el encuentro.

Me sorprendió el rendimiento de McKennie el día de ayer, fue la última renovación de Motta, quien no estaba del todo convencido, pero el estadounidense respondió bien, incluso hizo un gol, y eso me hace pensar que si Chiesa lo hubiesen renovado, con el estilo de Motta podría haber recuperado, y hasta potenciado su forma de jugar.

Hasta ahora eso es lo más notable de su entrenador: potencia a sus jugadores, eso es algo que Mourinho hacía muy bien, y que Motta logre hacerlo es un punto clave para que esta Juve vuelva a ser competitiva.

Con este nuevo formato, reitero que mantener la competitividad será la exigencia y factor determinante a tomar en cuenta. Considero que los jugadores tienen el potencial para mantenerse con buen nivel hasta el final de temporada. Será interesante ver la profundidad del banquillo, ya que permitirá tomar decisiones en el próximo mercado.

Particularmente me gusta la forma de jugar de esta Juventus, es un equipo nuevo, aun así no espero mucho contra equipos sólidos. Es el inicio del proyecto e indudablemente se irán notando aspectos a medida que las competiciones avancen; sin embargo, es muy interesante lo que plantea Motta y la directiva, así que, veamos cómo se desarrolla en lo que resta, que es bastante.

A long-awaited return for Juve in Europe

A year passed without Juventus playing in the Champions League. Legal issues led to the suspension last season as we all know; it was a strange time for those of us who are used to seeing this team compete in Europe's biggest club tournament, however, the wait is over, and the vecchia signora is back, and did it in the best way, with a victory.

Expectations were undoubtedly high, especially to see how Thiago Motta approached this competition with his new team. It has been a fresh feeling for this club. In Serie A they have had a good start, 2 wins and two draws, with a very solid defense and a totally renewed style of play.

Seeing this way of playing in the Champions League was something that had me intrigued, and in this new format, which I like more than the previous one, I think it will demand more from the players in terms of competitiveness.

Yesterday they faced PSV at home; they were extremely superior. The Dutch team put up little resistance and played very poor soccer, with little intensity. Of course, this was due to the good performance of the Turin team, who from the start took control of the ball and generated danger quickly.

Motta's pressing game continues to produce good results and has been one of the key factors in Juve's performance. His players have responded well to this scheme of play and remain competitive throughout the match.

I was surprised by McKennie's performance yesterday, he was the last renewal of Motta, who wasn't entirely convinced, but the American responded well, even scored a goal, and that makes me think that if Chiesa had renewed him, with Motta's style he could have recovered, and even enhanced his way of playing.

So far that's the most remarkable thing about their coach: he empowers his players, that's something Mourinho did very well, and Motta managing to do that is a key point for this Juve to be competitive again.

With this new format, I reiterate that maintaining competitiveness will be the key requirement and determining factor to take into account. I believe that the players have the potential to maintain a good level until the end of the season. It will be interesting to see the depth of the bench, as it will allow us to make decisions in the next market.

I particularly like the way Juventus is playing, it is a new team, even so I do not expect much against solid teams. It is the beginning of the project and undoubtedly aspects will be noticed as the competitions progress; however, it is very interesting what Motta and the board are proposing, so let's see how it develops in the rest, which is quite a lot.
